আল-বাইয়্যিনাহ: 4

Nor did those who were given the Scripture become divided until after there had come to them clear evidence.

And the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) differed not until after there came to them clear evidence. (i.e. Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and whatever was revealed to him).

And those who were given the Book did not disagree but after the clear proof came to them,

Nor did those to whom the Book had been given split up until after the Proof (of the Right Way) had come to them.

Nor were the People of the Scripture divided until after the clear proof came unto them.

Nor did the People of the Book make schisms, until after there came to them Clear Evidence.

যাদেরকে কিতাব দেয়া হয়েছিল তাদের মাঝে বিচ্ছিন্নতা দেখা দিয়েছিল তাদের কাছে সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ আসার পর।

আর কিতাবীরা তাদের কাছে সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ আসার পরই কেবল মতভেদ করেছে।

যাদেরকে কিতাব দেয়া হয়েছিল তারাতো বিভক্ত হল তাদের নিকট সু-স্পষ্ট প্রমাণ আসার পর।

আর যাদেরকে কিতাব দেয়া হয়েছিল তারা তো বিভক্ত হল তাদের কাছে সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ আসার পর।

যাদেরকে কিতাব দেয়া হয়েছে তারা বিভক্ত হয়েছে, তাদের কাছে সুষ্পষ্ট প্রমাণ আসার পরেই।

৪. বস্তুতঃ তাওরাতপ্রাপ্ত ইহুদি এবং ইঞ্জিলপ্রাপ্ত খ্রিস্টানরা কেবল তখনই মতানৈক্য করেছে যখন তাদের নিকট আল্লাহ তাঁর নবীকে পাঠিয়েছেন। ফলে তাদের মধ্যকার কেউ মুসলমান হয়েছে আবার কেউ তাঁর নবীর সত্যতা জেনেও কুফরীর উপর গোঁড়ামি করেছে।
