লুকমান: 17

O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] resolve.

"O my son! Aqim-is-Salat (perform As-Salat), enjoin (people) for Al-Ma'ruf (Islamic Monotheism and all that is good), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief in the Oneness of Allah, polytheism of all kinds and all that is evil and bad), and bear with patience whatever befall you. Verily! These are some of the important commandments ordered by Allah with no exemption.

My dear son, establish Salāh , and bid the Fair and forbid the Unfair, and observe patience on what befalls you. Surely, this is among the matters of determination;

Son, establish Prayer, enjoin all that is good and forbid all that is evil, and endure with patience whatever affliction befalls you. Surely these have been emphatically enjoined.

O my dear son! Establish worship and enjoin kindness and forbid iniquity, and persevere whatever may befall thee. Lo! that is of the steadfast heart of things.

"O my son! establish regular prayer, enjoin what is just, and forbid what is wrong: and bear with patient constancy whatever betide thee; for this is firmness (of purpose) in (the conduct of) affairs.

হে বৎস! তুমি নামায কায়িম কর, সৎ কাজের নির্দেশ দাও আর মন্দ কাজ হতে নিষেধ কর এবং বিপদাপদে ধৈর্যধারণ কর। নিশ্চয় এটা দৃঢ় সংকল্পের কাজ।

‘হে আমার প্রিয় বৎস, সালাত কায়েম কর, সৎকাজের আদেশ দাও, অসৎকাজে নিষেধ কর এবং তোমার উপর যে বিপদ আসে তাতে ধৈর্য ধর। নিশ্চয় এগুলো অন্যতম দৃঢ় সংকল্পের কাজ’।

হে বৎস! সালাত কায়েম করবে, ভাল কাজের আদেশ করবে ও মন্দ কাজ হতে নিষেধ করবে এবং আপদে-বিপদে ধৈর্য ধারণ করবে, এটাইতো দৃঢ় সংকল্পের কাজ।

হে আমার প্রিয় বৎস! সালাত কায়েম করো, সৎ কাজের নির্দেশ দাও এবং অসৎ কাজে নিষেধ কর, আর তোমার উপর যা আপতিত হয় তাতে ধৈর্য ধারণ কর। নিশ্চয় এটা অন্যতম দৃঢ় সংকল্পের কাজ।

হে আমার ছেলে! সালাত কায়েম কর, সৎ কাজের আদেশ দাও, মন্দ কাজ করতে নিষেধ কর এবং তোমার ওপর যে বিপদ আসে তাতে ধৈর্যধারণ কর। নিশ্চয়ই এ হল দৃঢ় সংকল্পের কাজ।

১৭. হে আমার প্রিয় বৎস! তুমি পূর্ণভাবে নামায প্রতিষ্ঠা করো, সৎ কাজের আদেশ দাও, অসৎ কাজে বাধা প্রদান করো। আর এই পথে যা কিছু পোহাতে হয় তাতে ধৈর্য ধারণ করো। তোমাকে আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে দৃঢ় প্রত্যয়সহ যে নির্দেশ প্রদান করা হয়েছে সে কাজে কোনরূপ শিথিলতার অবকাশ নেই।
