And if they deny you - then already have those before them denied. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and written ordinances and with the enlightening Scripture.

And if they belie you, those before them also belied. Their Messengers came to them with clear signs, and with the Scriptures, and the book giving light.

If they reject you, (it is not something new, because) those before them have (also) rejected (messengers). Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and with scriptures and with the enlightening book.

If they give the lie to you now, those that went before them also gave the lie to their Messengers when they came to them with Clear Proofs, with Scriptures, and with the Illuminating Book.

And if they deny thee, those before them also denied. Their messengers came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), and with the Psalms and the Scripture giving light.

And if they reject thee, so did their predecessors, to whom came their messengers with Clear Signs, Books of dark prophecies, and the Book of Enlightenment.

তারা যদি তোমাকে মিথ্যে ব’লে অস্বীকার করে, (তাহলে জেনে রেখ, এটা কোন নতুন ব্যাপার নয়, কারণ) তাদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও (নবী-রসূলদেরকে) মিথ্যে ব’লে অস্বীকার করেছিল। তাদের কাছে তাদের রসূলগণ সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শন, লিখিত দলীল ও আলোকপ্রদ কিতাব নিয়ে এসেছিল।

আর তারা যদি তোমাকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলে তবে তাদের পূর্বে যারা ছিল তারাও মিথ্যাবাদী বলেছিল; তাদের নিকট স্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদি, গ্রন্থাবলী ও আলোকদীপ্ত কিতাবসহ রাসূলগণ এসেছিলেন।

তারা যদি তোমার প্রতি মিথ্যা আরোপ করে তাহলে তাদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও মিথ্যা আরোপ করেছিল; তাদের নিকট এসেছিল তাদের রাসূলগণ সুস্পষ্ট নিদর্শন, গ্রন্থাদি ও দীপ্তিমান কিতাবসহ।

আর তারা যদি আপনার প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করে তবে এদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও তো মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল---তাদের কাছে এসেছিল তাদের রাসূলগণ সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদি, গ্রন্থাদি ও দীপ্তিমান কিতাবসহ।

তারা যদি তোমাকে মিথ্যা বলে অস্বীকার করে, তবে তাদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও তো মিথ্যা বলে অস্বীকার করেছিল, তাদের কাছে এসেছিলেন তাদের রাসূলগণ স্পষ্ট নিদর্শন নিয়ে, লিখিত দলীল ও উজ্জ্বল কিতাবসহ।

২৫. আর যদি আপনাকে আপনার সম্প্রদায় অবিশ্বাস করে তবে আপনি ধৈর্য ধারণ করুন। কেননা, ইতিপূর্বে অতিক্রান্ত জাতিরা তাদের রাসূলদের অবিশ্বাস করেছে। যেমন: আদ, সামূদ ও লুত্ব সম্প্রদায়। তাদের নিকট রাসূলগণ আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে তাঁদের সত্যতার সুস্পষ্ট দলীল প্রমাণাদি নিয়ে এসেছেন। তাঁরা তাদের নিকট পুস্তকাদি এবং অনুধাবনকারী ও চিন্তাশীলদের জন্য সুস্পষ্ট কিতাব নিয়ে এসেছিলেন।
