আস-সাজদা: 21

And We will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will return [i.e., repent].

And verily, We will make them taste of the near torment (i.e. the torment in the life of this world, i.e. disasters, calamities, etc.) prior to the supreme torment (in the Hereafter), in order that they may (repent and) return (i.e. accept Islam).

And We will certainly make them taste the nearer punishment before the greater punishment, so that they may return.

We shall certainly have them taste some chastisement in this world in addition to the greater chastisement (of the Hereafter); perhaps they will retract (from their transgression).

And verily We make them taste the lower punishment before the greater, that haply they may return.

And indeed We will make them taste of the Penalty of this (life) prior to the supreme Penalty, in order that they may (repent and) return.

গুরুতর শাস্তির আগে আমি তাদেরকে অবশ্য অবশ্যই লঘু শাস্তি আস্বাদন করাবো যাতে তারা (অনুশোচনা নিয়ে) ফিরে আসে।

আর অবশ্যই আমি তাদেরকে গুরুতর আযাবের পূর্বে লঘু আযাব আস্বাদন করাব, যাতে তারা ফিরে আসে।

বড় শাস্তির পূর্বে তাদেরকে আমি অবশ্যই লঘু শাস্তি আস্বাদন করাব, যাতে তারা ফিরে আসে।

আর অবশ্যই আমরা তাদেরকে মহা শাস্তির পূর্বে কিছু লঘু শাস্তি আস্বাদন করাব, যাতে তারা ফিরে আসে।

নিশ্চয়ই আমি তাদেরকে সামান্য শাস্তি ভোগ করাব মহাশাস্তির পূর্বে, যাতে তারা ফিরে আসে।

২১. এসব মিথ্যরোপকারী স্বীয় প্রতিপালকের আনুগত্য থেকে দূরে অবস্থানকারীরা তাওবা না করলে আমি অবশ্যই পরকালে তাদের উদ্দেশ্যে প্রস্তুতকৃত শাস্তির পূর্বে দুনিয়াতে পরীক্ষা ও বিপদের স্বাদ আস্বাদন করাবো। যাতে তারা স্বীয় প্রতিপালকের আনুগত্যের দিকে ফিরে আসে।
