আল-জাসিয়া: 32

And when it was said, 'Indeed, the promise of Allāh is truth and the Hour [is coming] - no doubt about it,' you said, 'We know not what is the Hour. We assume only assumption, and we are not convinced.'"

And when it was said: "Verily! Allah's Promise is the truth, and there is no doubt about the coming of the Hour," you said; "We know not what is the Hour, we do not think it but as a conjecture, and we have no firm convincing belief (therein)."

and when it was said to you that Allah’s promise is true and there is no doubt in the (arrival of the) Hour, you used to say, ‘We do not know what the Hour is. We do not think (about it) but as an assumption, and we are not sure.’”

And when it was said to them: “Surely Allah's promise is true, and there is no doubt regarding the Hour of Resurrection,” you were wont to say: “We do not know what the Hour (of Resurrection) is. We are simply making conjectures and are not at all certain.”

And when it was said: Lo! Allah's promise is the truth, and there is no doubt of the Hour's coming, ye said: We know not what the Hour is. We deem it naught but a conjecture, and we are by no means convinced.

"And when it was said that the promise of Allah was true, and that the Hour- there was no doubt about its (coming), ye used to say, 'We know not what is the hour: we only think it is an idea, and we have no firm assurance.'"

যখন বলা হয়- আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য আর ক্বিয়ামতের আগমনে কোনই সন্দেহ নেই, তখন তোমরা বলতে- ‘আমরা জানি না ক্বিয়ামত কী? আমরা মনে করি তা শুধু ধারণা মাত্র, আর (তাতে) আমরা নিশ্চিত বিশ্বাসী নই’।

আর যখন বলা হয়, ‘আল্লাহর ওয়াদা সত্য, আর কিয়ামতে কোন সন্দেহ নেই’। তখন তোমরা বলে থাক, ‘আমরা জানি না কিয়ামত কী? আমরা কেবল অনুমান করি এবং আমরা তো দৃঢ় বিশ্বাসী নই।’

যখন বলা হয়ঃ আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য এবং কিয়ামাত - এতে কোন সন্দেহ নেই, তখন তোমরা বলে থাকঃ আমরা জানিনা কিয়ামাত কি; আমরা মনে করি এটা একটি ধারনা মাত্র এবং আমরা এ বিষয়ে নিশ্চিত নই।

আর যখন বলা হয়, ‘নিশ্চয় আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য এবং কিয়ামত--- এতে কোনো সন্দেহ নেই, তখন তোমরা বলে থাক, ‘আমরা জানি না কিয়ামত কী; আমরা কেবল অনুমান করি এবং আমরা তো দৃঢ় বিশ্বাসী নই।’

যখন বলা হয় : নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য এবং কিয়ামত, এতে কোন সন্দেহ নেই, তখন তোমরা বলে থাক : আমরা জানি না কিয়ামত কী; আমরা মনে করি এটি একটি ধারণা মাত্র এবং আমরা এ বিষয়ে নিশ্চিত নই।

৩২. যখন তোমাদেরকে বলা হয়, আল্লাহর অঙ্গীকার যাতে তিনি তাঁর বান্দাদের পুনরুত্থান, হিসাব ও প্রতিদানের অঙ্গীকার করেছেন তা সত্য। তাতে কোন সন্দেহ নেই। আর কিয়ামতও সত্য। তাতেও কোন সন্দেহ নেই। ফলে তোমরা সে উদ্দেশ্যে আমল করো তখন তোমরা বলেছিলে: আমরা এই কিয়ামত সম্পর্কে জানি না। সেটি কী আমরা কেবল সে ব্যাপারে একটি ক্ষীণ ধারণা পোষণ করতাম যে, সেটি আসতে পারে। কিন্তু আমরা এর আগমন সম্পর্কে দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস রাখতাম না।
