আল-জাসিয়া: 8

Who hears the verses of Allāh recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them. So give him tidings of a painful punishment.

Who hears the Verses of Allah (being) recited to him, yet persists with pride as if he heard them not. So announce to him a painful torment!

who hears Allah’s verses being recited to him, then he remains adamant out of arrogance, as if he never heard them. So give him the ‘good news’ of a painful punishment.

who hears Allah's Signs being rehearsed to him, and yet persists in his pride, as though he had not heard it. Announce to him, then, the tidings of a grievous chastisement.

Who heareth the revelations of Allah recited unto him, and then continueth in pride as though he heard them not. Give him tidings of a painful doom.

He hears the Signs of Allah rehearsed to him, yet is obstinate and lofty, as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a Penalty Grievous!

যে আল্লাহর আয়াত শোনে যা তার সামনে পাঠ করা হয়, অতঃপর অহমিকার সাথে (কুফুরীর উপর) থাকে যেন সে তা শোনেইনি; কাজেই তাকে ভয়াবহ শাস্তির সংবাদ দাও।

সে শোনে আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহ যা তার সামনে তিলাওয়াত করা হচ্ছে, তারপর সে ঔদ্ধত্যের সাথে অবিচল থাকে, যেন সে তা শুনতে পায়নি। অতএব তুমি তাকে এক যন্ত্রণাদায়ক আযাবের সুসংবাদ দাও।

যে আল্লাহর আয়াতের আবৃত্তি শোনে, অথচ ঔদ্ধত্যের সাথে অটল থাকে যেন সে তা শোনেনি, তাকে সংবাদ দাও যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তির।

সে আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহ শোনে যা তার কাছে তিলাওয়াত করা হয়, তারপর সে ঔদ্ধত্যের সাথে অটল থাকে যেন সে তা শোনেনি। অতএব, আপনি তাকে সুসংবাদ দিন যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তির;

যে আল্লাহর আয়াতের তেলাওয়াত শোনে অথচ অহঙ্কারের সাথে অটল থাকে যেন তা সে শোনেনি। তাকে সুসংবাদ দাও যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তির।

৮. এই কাফির তার নিকট পঠিত আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহ শ্রবণ করে অতঃপর সে তার কুফরী ও পাপসমূহের উপর হকের অনুসরণ অপেক্ষা নিজেকে বড় মনে করে অটল থাকে। যেন তার উপর পঠিত আয়াতসমূহ সে শুনেইনি। হে রাসূল! আপনি তাকে পরকালে তার দুঃখের সংবাদ প্রদান করুন। যা হবে তার জন্য অপক্ষেমাণ কষ্টদায়ক শাস্তি।
