আল-আহকাফ: 3

We did not create the heavens and earth and what is between them except in truth and [for] a specified term. But those who disbelieve, from that of which they are warned, are turning away.

We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and for an appointed term. But those who disbelieve turn away from that whereof they are warned.

We did not create the heavens and the earth but with true purpose and for a specified term. But those who disbelieve are averse to what they are warned of.

We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in Truth and for an appointed term. But those who disbelieve have turned away from what they were warned against.

আমি আকাশ, যমীন ও এ দু’য়ের মাঝে যা আছে তা প্রকৃত উদ্দেশ্যে একটা নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের জন্য সৃষ্টি করেছি। কিন্তু কাফিরগণ, যে বিষয়ে তাদেরকে সতর্ক করা হয় তাত্থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।

আমি আসমানসমূহ, যমীন ও এতদোভয়ের মধ্যে যা কিছু আছে, তা যথাযথভাবে ও একটি নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের জন্য সৃষ্টি করেছি। আর যারা কুফরী করে, তাদেরকে যে বিষয়ে সতর্ক করা হয়েছে তা থেকে তারা বিমুখ।

আকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবী এবং এতদুভয়ের মধ্যস্থিত সব কিছুই আমি যথাযথভাবে নির্দিষ্ট কালের জন্য সৃষ্টি করেছি; কিন্তু কাফিরদেরকে যে বিষয়ে সতর্ক করা হয়েছে তা হতে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।

আসমানসমূহ, যমীন ও এ দু’য়ের মধ্যবর্তী সমস্ত কিছুই আমরা যথাযথভাবে ও নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের জন্য সৃষ্টি করেছি। আর যারা কুফরী করেছে, তাদেরকে যে বিষয়ে ভীতিপ্ৰদৰ্শন করা হয়েছে তা থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে আছে।

আমি আকাশ ও জমিন এবং এ দুটোর মধ্যে যা আছে তা প্রকৃত উদ্দেশ্যে ও এক নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের জন্য সৃষ্টি করেছি : কিন্তু যারা কাফির তাদেরকে এ বিষয়ে সাবধান করা সত্ত্বেও তা থেকে তারা মুখ ফিরিয়ে রেখেছে।

৩. আমি আসমান, যমীন ও এতদুভয়ের মাঝে যা কিছু রয়েছে সেগুলোকে অনর্থক সৃষ্টি করি নি। বরং এগুলোকে এক মহৎ উদ্দেশ্য নিয়ে সত্যসহকারে সৃষ্টি করেছি। তন্মধ্যে রয়েছে, বান্দারা এর মাধ্যমে তাঁকে চিনবে। ফলে এককভাবে তাঁরই ইবাদাত করবে। রবং তাঁর সাথে কাউকে শরীক করবে না। উপরন্তু তাদেরকে যমীনে প্রতিনিধিত্ব প্রদানের দাবি হিসাবে এক আল্লাহর জ্ঞানে তাদের আয়ু অবশিষ্ট থাকা অবধি দায়িত্ব পালন করবে। আর যারা আল্লাহকে অস্বীকার করেছে তারা আল্লাহর কিতাবে যা থেকে তাদেরকে ভীতি প্রদর্শন করা হয়েছে তারা তা থেকে বিমুখ। তারা এ নিয়ে কোন পরোয়া করে না।
