আল-আহকাফ: 5

And who is more astray than he who invokes besides Allāh those who will not respond to him until the Day of Resurrection [i.e., never], and they, of their invocation, are unaware.

And who is more astray than one who calls (invokes) besides Allah, such as will not answer him till the Day of Resurrection, and who are (even) unaware of their calls (invocations) to them?

Who is more astray than him who invokes, instead of Allah, those who will not respond to him up to the Day of Judgement; and they are totally unaware of their prayers,

Who is farther strayed from the Right Path than he who calls upon others than Allah that cannot answer his call till the Day of Resurrection, the while they are not even conscious that callers are calling upon them?

And who is further astray than those who, instead of Allah, pray unto such as hear not their prayer until the Day of Resurrection, and are unconscious of their prayer,

And who is more astray than one who invokes besides Allah, such as will not answer him to the Day of Judgment, and who (in fact) are unconscious of their call (to them)?

তার চেয়ে অধিক গুমরাহ কে, যে আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে এমন কিছুকে ডাকে যা ক্বিয়ামত পর্যন্ত তাকে সাড়া দেবে না, আর তাদের ডাকাডাকি সম্পর্কেও তারা (একদম) বেখবর?

তার চেয়ে অধিক পথভ্রষ্ট আর কে, যে আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে এমন কাউকে ডাকে, যে কিয়ামত দিবস পর্যন্তও তার ডাকে সাড়া দেবে না? আর তারা তাদের আহবান সম্পর্কে উদাসীন।

সেই ব্যক্তি অপেক্ষা বিভ্রান্ত কে যে আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে এমন কিছুকে ডাকে যা কিয়ামাতের দিন পর্যন্তও তার ডাকে সাড়া দিবেনা? এবং ওগুলি তাদের প্রার্থনা সম্বন্ধে অবহিত নয়।

আর সে ব্যক্তির চেয়ে বেশী বিভ্রান্ত কে যে আল্লাহ্‌র পরিবর্তে এমন কিছুকে ডাকে যা কিয়ামতের দিন পর্যন্ত তাকে সাড়া দেবে না? এবং এগুলো তাদের আহ্বান সম্বদ্ধেও গাফেল।

সে ব্যক্তির চেয়ে বেশি গোমরাহ আর কে হতে পারে, যে আল্লাহকে বাদ দিয়ে এমন কাউকে ডাকে, যে কিয়ামতের দিন পর্যন্তও সাড়া দেবে না। বরং তারা তাদের আহ্বান সম্পর্কে গাফেল।

৫. যে ব্যক্তি আল্লাহ ব্যতীত এমন দেব-দেবির পূজা করে যে কিয়ামত অবধি তার ডাকে সাড়া দিবে না। বস্তুতঃ তারা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যে সব দেবতার পূজা করে তাদের পক্ষে এদের কোন উপকার ও অপকার সাধন তো দূরের কথা বরং তারা মূলতঃ এ সব পূজারীদের ইবাদাত বিষয়ে সম্পূর্ণ উদাসীন।
