আশ-শূরা: 43

And whoever is patient and forgives - indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of resolve.

And verily, whosoever shows patience and forgives that would truly be from the things recommended by Allah.

And if one observes patience and forgives, it is, of course, one of the courageous conducts.

But he who patiently endures and forgives, that is a conduct of great resolve.

And verily whoso is patient and forgiveth - lo! that, verily, is (of) the steadfast heart of things.

But indeed if any show patience and forgive, that would truly be an exercise of courageous will and resolution in the conduct of affairs.

আর যে ব্যক্তি (অত্যাচারিত হওয়ার পরও) ধৈর্য ধারণ করে, আর (অত্যাচারীকে) ক্ষমা করে দেয়, তাহলে তা অবশ্যই দৃঢ় চিত্ততার কাজ।

আর যে ধৈর্যধারণ করে এবং ক্ষমা করে, তা নিশ্চয় দৃঢ়সংকল্পেরই কাজ।

অবশ্য যে ধৈর্য ধারণ করে এবং ক্ষমা করে দেয় তাতো হবে দৃঢ় সম্পর্কেরই কাজ।

আর অবশ্যই যে ধৈর্য ধারণ করে এবং ক্ষমা করে দেয়, নিশ্চয় তা দৃঢ় সংকল্পেরই কাজ।

যে ধৈর্যধারণ করে এবং ক্ষমা করে দেয় তা হবে অবশ্যই দৃঢ় সাহসিকতাপূর্ণ কর্মসমূহের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।

৪৩. তবে যে ব্যক্তি অন্যের কষ্টের উপর ধৈর্য ধারণ করে তাকে মার্জনা করে এই ধৈর্য তার ও সমাজের জন্য কল্যাণ বয়ে আনবে। বস্তুতঃ এটি একটি প্রশংসনীয় কাজ। যে জন্য মহা ভাগ্যবান ব্যতীত অন্য কাউকে তাওফীক প্রদান করা হয় না।
