আর-রূম: 36

And when We let the people taste mercy, they rejoice therein, but if evil afflicts them for what their hands have put forth, immediately they despair.

And when We cause mankind to taste of mercy, they rejoice therein, but when some evil afflicts them because of (evil deeds and sins) that their (own) hands have sent forth, lo! They are in despair!

When We give people a taste of mercy, they are happy with it, and if they are touched by an evil because of what their hands sent ahead, they are at once in despair.

When We make people have a taste of Our Mercy, they exult in it; and when any misfortune befalls them in consequence of their deeds, then lo and behold, they despair.

And when We cause mankind to taste of mercy they rejoice therein; but if an evil thing befall them as the consequence of their own deeds, lo! they are in despair!

When We give men a taste of Mercy, they exult thereat: and when some evil afflicts them because of what their (own) hands have sent forth, behold, they are in despair!

আমি যখন মানুষকে অনুগ্রহ আস্বাদন করাই তখন তারা তাতে উল্লসিত হয়, তারপর তাদের হাত যা আগে পাঠিয়েছে তার ফলে দুর্দশা যখন তাদেরকে পেয়ে বসে, তখন তারা হতাশ হয়ে পড়ে।

আর আমি যখন মানুষকে রহমতের স্বাদ আস্বাদন করাই তখন তারা তাতে আনন্দিত হয়। আর যদি তাদের কৃতকর্মের কারণে তাদের উপর অকল্যাণ পৌঁছে তখন তারা হতাশ হয়ে পড়ে।

আমি যখন মানুষকে অনুগ্রহের আস্বাদ দিই তখন তারা উৎফুল্ল হয় এবং তাদের কৃতকর্মের ফলে দুর্দশাগ্রস্ত হলেই তারা হতাশ হয়ে পড়ে।

আর আমরা যখন মানুষকে রহমত আস্বাদন করাই তখন তারা তাতে উৎফুল্ল হয় এবং যদি তাদের কৃতকর্মের কারনে কোনো অনিষ্ট পৌঁছে তখনই তারা নিরাশ হয়ে পড়ে।

আর যখন মানুষকে রহমতের স্বাদ ভোগ করাই, তখন তারা তাতে আনন্দিত হয়, আর যদি তাদের কাজ-কর্মের দরুন তাদের ওপর কোন বিপদ আসে, তবে তখনই তারা নিরাশ হয়ে পড়ে।

৩৬. আর আমি যখন মানুষকে আমার কোন নি‘আমত আস্বাদন করাই -যেমন: সুস্থতা ও ধনাঢ্যতা- তারা তখন অহঙ্কারমূলক আনন্দে উদ্বেলিত হয়। পক্ষান্তরে তাদেরকে যখন নিজেদের পাপের ফল হিসাবে অসুখ কিংবা অভাব পেয়ে বসে তখন তারা আল্লাহর নি‘আমত থেকে নিরাশ হয়ে পড়ে এবং তাদের উপর আপতিত বিপদ দূর হওয়ার আশা ছেড়ে দেয়।
