আন-নূর: 21

O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of Satan. And whoever follows the footsteps of Satan - indeed, he enjoins immorality and wrongdoing. And if not for the favor of Allāh upon you and His mercy, not one of you would have been pure, ever, but Allāh purifies whom He wills, and Allāh is Hearing and Knowing.

O you who believe! Follow not the footsteps of Shaitan (Satan). And whosoever follows the footsteps of Shaitan (Satan), then, verily he commands Al-Fahsha' [i.e. to commit indecency (illegal sexual intercourse, etc.)], and Al-Munkar [disbelief and polytheism (i.e. to do evil and wicked deeds; to speak or to do what is forbidden in Islam, etc.)]. And had it not been for the Grace of Allah and His Mercy on you, not one of you would ever have been pure from sins. But Allah purifies (guides to Islam) whom He wills, and Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

O you who believe, do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Whoever follows the footsteps of Satan, (should know that) he orders (one to commit) shameful acts and evil deeds. Had it not been for the grace of Allah upon you, and His mercy, not a single person from you would have ever attained purity. But Allah purifies whomsoever He wills. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

Believers! Do not follow in Satan's footsteps. Let him who follows in Satan's footsteps (remember that) Satan bids people to indecency and evil. Were it not for Allah's Bounty and His Mercy unto you, not one of you would have ever attained purity. But Allah enables whomsoever He wills to attain purity. Allah is All- Hearing, All-Knowing.

O ye who believe! Follow not the footsteps of the devil. Unto whomsoever followeth the footsteps of the devil, lo! he commandeth filthiness and wrong. Had it not been for the grace of Allah and His mercy unto you, not one of you would ever have grown pure. But Allah causeth whom He will to grow. And Allah is Hearer, Knower.

O ye who believe! follow not Satan's footsteps: if any will follow the footsteps of Satan, he will (but) command what is shameful and wrong: and were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, not one of you would ever have been pure: but Allah doth purify whom He pleases: and Allah is One Who hears and knows (all things).

হে ঈমানদারগণ! তোমরা শয়ত্বানের পদাংক অনুসরণ করো না। কেউ শয়ত্বানের পদাংক অনুসরণ করলে সে তাকে নির্লজ্জতা ও অপকর্মের আদেশ দেবে, তোমাদের প্রতি আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ ও দয়া না থাকলে তোমাদের একজনও কক্ষনো পবিত্রতা লাভ করতে পারত না। অবশ্য যাকে ইচ্ছে আল্লাহ পবিত্র করে থাকেন, আল্লাহ সব কিছু শোনেন, সর্ববিষয়ে অবগত।

হে মুমিনগণ, তোমরা শয়তানের পদাঙ্কসমূহ অনুসরণ করো না। আর যে শয়তানের পদাঙ্কসমূহ অনুসরণ করবে, নিশ্চয় সে অশ্লীলতা ও মন্দ কাজের নির্দেশ দেবে। আর যদি তোমাদের প্রতি আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ ও তাঁর দয়া না থাকত, তাহলে তোমাদের কেউই কখনো পবিত্র হতে পারত না; কিন্তু আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা করেন, পবিত্র করেন। আর আল্লাহ সর্বশ্রোতা, মহাজ্ঞানী।

হে মু’মিনগণ! তোমরা শাইতানের পদাংক অনুসরণ করনা; কেহ শাইতানের পদাংক অনুসরণ করলে শাইতানতো অশ্লীলতা ও মন্দ কাজের নির্দেশ দেয়; আল্লাহর দয়া ও অনুগ্রহ না থাকলে তোমাদের কেহই কখনও পবিত্র হতে পারতেনা, তবে আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা পবিত্র করেন, এবং আল্লাহ সর্বশ্রোতা, সর্বজ্ঞ।

হে মুমিনগণ! তোমরা শয়তানের পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণ করো না। আর কেউ শয়তানের পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণ করলে শয়তান তো অশ্লীলতা ও মন্দ কাজেরই নির্দেশ দেয়। আল্লাহ্‌র অনুগ্রহ ও দয়া না থাকলে তোমাদের কেউই কখনো পবিত্র হতে পারতে না, তবে আল্লাহ্‌ যাকে ইচ্ছে পবিত্র করেন এবং আল্লাহ্‌ সর্বশ্রোতা, সর্বজ্ঞ।

হে মু’মিনগণ! তোমরা শয়তানের পদাংক অনুসরণ কর না। আর কেউ শয়তানের পদাংক অনুসরণ করলে শয়তান তো অশ্লীলতা ও মন্দ কাজের নির্দেশ দেয়। আল্লাহ তা‘আলার অনুগ্রহ ও দয়া না থাকলে তোমাদের কেউই কখনও পবিত্র হতে পারত না, তবে আল্লাহ তা‘আলা যাকে ইচ্ছা পবিত্র করে থাকেন এবং আল্লাহ তা‘আলা সর্বশ্রোতা, সর্বজ্ঞ।

২১. হে আল্লাহতে বিশ্বাসী ও তাঁর শরীয়তের উপর আমলকারী মু’মিনরা! তোমরা বাতিলকে সজ্জিত করার ক্ষেত্রে শয়তানের পথগুলোর অনুসরণ করো না। যে তার পথগুলোর অনুসরণ করবে তার জানা থাকা দরকার যে, নিশ্চয়ই সে শরীয়ত বিরোধী বিশ্রী কথা ও কাজের আদেশ করবে। হে মু’মিনরা! যদি তোমাদের উপর আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ না থাকতো তাহলে তিনি তোমাদের মধ্যকার কোন তাওবাকারীর তাওবা কবুলের মাধ্যমে তাকে পরিচ্ছন্ন করতেন না। কিন্তু আল্লাহ তা‘আলা যার ব্যাপারে চান তার তাওবা কবুলের মাধ্যমে তাকে পবিত্র করেন। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ তা‘আলা তোমাদের সকল কথা শুনেন এবং তোমাদের সকল কর্মকাণ্ড সম্পর্কে ভালোই জানেন। এগুলোর কোন কিছুই তাঁর নিকট গোপন নয়। তাই তিনি অচিরেই তোমাদেরকে এগুলোর প্রতিদান দিবেন।
