আন-নূর: 51

The only statement of the [true] believers when they are called to Allāh and His Messenger to judge between them is that they say, "We hear and we obey." And those are the successful.

The only saying of the faithful believers, when they are called to Allah (His Words, the Quran) and His Messenger (SAW), to judge between them, is that they say: "We hear and we obey." And such are the prosperous ones (who will live forever in Paradise).

The only reply of the (true) believers, when they are summoned to Allah and His messenger that he (the messenger) may judge between them, is that they say, “We listen and obey.” Such people are the successful.

When those that believe are called to Allah and His Messenger in order that he (that is, the Messenger) may judge their disputes among them, nothing becomes them but to say: "We hear and we obey." Such shall attain true success.

The saying of (all true) believers when they appeal unto Allah and His messenger to judge between them is only that they say: We hear and we obey. And such are the successful.

The answer of the Believers, when summoned to Allah and His Messenger, in order that He may judge between them, is no other than this: they say, "We hear and we obey": it is such as these that will attain felicity.

মু’মিনদেরকে যখন তাদের মাঝে ফয়সালা করার জন্য আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের দিকে ডাকা হয়, তখন মু’মিনদের জওয়াব তো এই হয় যে, তারা বলে, আমরা শুনলাম ও মেনে নিলাম, আর তারাই সফলকাম।

মুমিনদেরকে যখন আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রাসূলের প্রতি এ মর্মে আহবান করা হয় যে, তিনি তাদের মধ্যে বিচার, মীমাংসা করবেন, তাদের কথা তো এই হয় যে, তখন তারা বলে: ‘আমরা শুনলাম ও আনুগত্য করলাম।’ আর তারাই সফলকাম।

মু’মিনদের উক্তিতো এই, যখন তাদের মধ্যে ফাইসালা করে দেয়ার জন্য আল্লাহ এবং তাঁর রাসূলের দিকে আহবান করা হয় তখন তারা বলেঃ আমরা শ্রবণ করলাম ও মান্য করলাম। আর তারাইতো সফলকাম।

মুমিনদের উক্তি তো এই---যখন তাদের মধ্যে বিচার-ফয়সালা করে দেয়ার জন্য আল্লাহ্‌ এবং তাঁর রাসূলের দিকে ডাকা হয়, তখন তারা বলে, ‘আমরা শুনলাম এবং আনুগত্য করলাম।’ আর তারাই সফলকাম।

মু’মিনদের উক্তি তো কেবল এইন যখন তাদের মধ্যে ফায়সালা করে দেয়ার জন্য আল্লাহ তা‘আলা এবং তাঁর রাসূলের দিকে আহ্বান করা হয় তখন তারা বলে, ‘আমরা শ্রবণ করলাম ও আনুগত্য করলাম।’ আর তারাই তো সফলকাম।

৫১. তবে যখন মু’মিনদেরকে তাদের মাঝে ফায়সালার জন্য আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রাসূলের দিকে ডাকা হয় তখন তাদের কথা এমন হয় যে, তারা বলে: আমরা আপনার কথা শুনেছি ও আপনার আদেশের আনুগত্য করেছি। বস্তুতঃ এ সকল বৈশিষ্ট্যের অধিকারীরা দুনিয়া ও আখিরাতে সফল।
