And he had over them no authority except [it was decreed] that We might make evident who believes in the Hereafter from who is thereof in doubt. And your Lord, over all things, is Guardian.

And he (Iblis Satan) had no authority over them, except that We might test him, who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt about it. And your Lord is a Hafiz over everything. (AllKnower of everything i.e. He keeps record of each and every person as regards deeds, and then He will reward them accordingly).

He did not have any power over them, but for the reason that We should recognize the one who believes in the Hereafter as distinct from the one who is in doubt about it; and your Lord is Watchful over every thing.

Iblis had no authority over them and whatever happened was in order that We might know him who believes in the Hereafter as distinct from him who is in doubt about it. Your Lord is watchful over everything.

And he had no warrant whatsoever against them, save that We would know him who believeth in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt thereof; and thy Lord (O Muhammad) taketh note of all things.

But he had no authority over them,- except that We might test the man who believes in the Hereafter from him who is in doubt concerning it: and thy Lord doth watch over all things.

তাদের উপর শয়ত্বানের কোন ক্ষমতা ছিল না, তবে কে আখিরাতে বিশ্বাস করে আর কে তাতে সন্দেহ করে, তা প্রকাশ করাই ছিল আমার উদ্দেশ্য। তোমার প্রতিপালক সকল বিষয়ে হিফাযাতকারী।

আর তাদের উপর শয়তানের কোন কর্তৃত্ব ছিল না। তবে কে আখিরাতের প্রতি ঈমান রাখে আর কে তাতে সন্দেহ পোষণ করে তা প্রকাশ করাই ছিল আমার উদ্দেশ্য। আর তোমার রব সকল কিছুর হিফাযতকারী।

তাদের উপর শাইতানের কোন আধিপত্য ছিলনা। কারা আখিরাতে বিশ্বাসী এবং কারা ওতে সন্দিহান তা প্রকাশ করে দেয়াই ছিল আমার উদ্দেশ্য। তোমার রাবব সর্ব বিষয়ের তত্ত্বাবধায়ক।

আর তাদের উপর শয়তানের কোনো আধিপত্য ছিল না। তবে কে আখিরাতের প্রতি ঈমান রাখে এবং কে তাতে সন্দিহান, তা প্রকাশ করে দেয়াই ছিল আমাদের উদ্দেশ্য। আর আপনার রব সবকিছুর সম্যক হিফাযতকারী।

তাদের ওপর শয়তানের কোন কর্তৃত্ব ছিল না, তবে কে আখিরাতকে বিশ্বাস করে এবং কে তাতে সন্দেহ পোষণ করে তা জানাই ছিল আমার উদ্দেশ্য। তোমার‎ প্রতিপালক সর্ববিষয়ের রক্ষাকারী।

২১. তাদের উপর ইবলিসের এমন কোন শক্তি ছিল না যদ্বারা সে তাদেরকে পদানত করে পথভ্রষ্ট করতে পারত। সে কেবল তাদেরকে চমক লাগাত ও বিভ্রান্ত করত। বরং আমি তাকে এই কাজের অনুমোদন দিয়েছি। যাতে আমি জানতে পারি যে, কে পরকাল ও তার প্রতিদানে বিশ্বাসী। আর কে সে ব্যাপারে সন্দিহান। আর হে নবী! আপনার প্রতিপালক সর্ব বিষয়ের সংরক্ষক। তিনি তাঁর বান্দাদের আমল সংরক্ষণ করেন এবং তিনি তাদের প্রতিদান দিবেন।
