Then, do they not look at what is before them and what is behind them of the heaven and earth? If We should will, We could cause the earth to swallow them or [could] let fall upon them fragments from the sky. Indeed in that is a sign for every servant turning back [to Allāh].

See they not what is before them and what is behind them, of the heaven and the earth? If We will, We shall sink the earth with them, or cause a piece of the heaven to fall upon them. Verily, in this is a sign for every faithful believer that [believes in the Oneness of Allah], and turns to Allah (in all affairs with humility and in repentance).

Have they not, then, looked to the sky and the earth that lies before them and behind them? If We so will, We would make the earth swallow them up, or cause pieces of the sky to fall upon them. Surely, in this there is a sign for a servant (of Allah) who turns to Him.

Do they not see how the heavens and the earth encompass them from the front and the rear? We could, if We so wished, cause the earth to swallow them or let fragments of the sky fall upon them. Verily there is a Sign in this for every servant (of Allah) who penitently turns to Him.

Have they not observed what is before them and what is behind them of the sky and the earth? If We will, We can make the earth swallow them, or cause obliteration from the sky to fall on them. Lo! herein surely is a portent for every slave who turneth (to Allah) repentant.

See they not what is before them and behind them, of the sky and the earth? If We wished, We could cause the earth to swallow them up, or cause a piece of the sky to fall upon them. Verily in this is a Sign for every devotee that turns to Allah (in repentance).

তারা কি আকাশ ও পৃথিবীতে তাদের সামনে ও পেছনে লক্ষ্য করে না? আমি ইচ্ছে করলে তাদেরকেসহ ভূমি ধ্বসিয়ে দেব অথবা আকাশের এক টুকরো তাদের উপর ফেলে দেব। প্রতিটি আল্লাহ অভিমুখী বান্দাহর জন্য এতে নিদর্শন রয়েছে।

তারা কি তাদের সামনে ও তাদের পেছনে আসমান ও যমীনে যা আছে তার প্রতি লক্ষ্য করে না? যদি আমি ইচ্ছা করি তাহলে তাদেরকে সহ ভূমি ধসিয়ে দেব অথবা আসমান থেকে এক খন্ড (আযাব) তাদের উপর নিপতিত করব, অবশ্যই তাতে রয়েছে আল্লাহমুখী প্রত্যেক বান্দার জন্য নিদর্শন।

তারা কি তাদের সম্মুখে ও পশ্চাতে, আসমান ও যমীনে যা আছে তার প্রতি লক্ষ্য করেনা? আমি ইচ্ছা করলে তাদেরকেসহ ভূমি ধ্বসিয়ে দিব অথবা তাদের উপর আকাশ মন্ডলের পতন ঘটাব; আল্লাহর অভিমুখী প্রতিটি বান্দার জন্য এতে অবশ্যই নিদর্শন রয়েছে।

তারা কি তাদের সামনে ও তাদের পিছনে, আসমান ও যমীনে যা আছে তার প্রতি লক্ষ্য করে না? আমরা ইচ্ছে করলে ধ্বসিয়ে দেব তাদেরসহ যমীন অথবা পতন ঘটাব তাদের উপর আসমান থেকে এক খণ্ড; নিশ্চয় এতে রয়েছে নিদর্শন, আল্লাহর অভিমুখী প্রতিটি বান্দার জন্য।

তবে কি তারা তাদের সামনে ও তাদের পিছনে যে আকাশ ও পৃথিবী রয়েছে তার প্রতি লক্ষ্য করে না? আমি যদি ইচ্ছা করি তবে তাদেরসহ পৃথিবীকে ধ্বসিয়ে দিতে পারি অথবা তাদের ওপর আকাশের খণ্ডসমূহ পতিত করতে পারি। নিশ্চয়ই এতে রয়েছে আল্লাহ অভিমুখী প্রত্যেক বান্দার জন্য দৃষ্টান্ত।

৯. এ সব পুনরুত্থানের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপকারীরা কি দেখেনা তাদের সামনে যে যমীন রয়েছে আর পেছনে যে আসমান রয়েছে? আমি চাইলে তাদের পায়ের নিচ থেকে যমীনকে ধ্বসিয়ে দিতে পারি। এমনিভাবে চাইলে তাদের উপর আসমান থেকে এক টুকরো ভূপাতিত করতে পারি। এতে অবশ্যই প্রত্যেক ওই সব দাস বান্দার জন্য অকাট্য নিদর্শন রয়েছে যে স্বীয় প্রতিপালকের আনুগত্যের প্রতি বেশী বেশী প্রত্যাবর্তনকারী। সে এর মাধ্যমে আল্লাহর ক্ষমতার উপর প্রমাণ গ্রহণ করবে। কেননা, যিনি এই কাজের উপর ক্ষমতাবান তিনি তোমাদের মৃত্যু ও শরীর ছিন্ন-বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে যাওয়ার পর পুনরুত্থানে সক্ষম।
