ফুসসিলাত: 24

So [even] if they are patient, the Fire is a residence for them; and if they ask to appease [Allāh], they will not be of those who are allowed to appease.

Then, if they have patience, yet the Fire will be a home for them, and if they beg for to be excused, yet they are not of those who will ever be excused.

Now, if they endure patiently, even then the Fire is their abode, and if they seek forgiveness, they are not among those (who could be) forgiven.

In this state, whether they bear with patience (or not), Fire alone shall be their abode. And if they seek to make amends, they will not be allowed to do so.

And though they are resigned, yet the Fire is still their home; and if they ask for favour, yet they are not of those unto whom favour can be shown.

If, then, they have patience, the Fire will be a home for them! and if they beg to be received into favour, into favour will they not (then) be received.

এখন যদি তারা ধৈর্য ধারণ করে তবুও জাহান্নামই হবে তাদের আবাস, আর যদি তারা ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করে তবুও তারা ক্ষমাপ্রাপ্ত হবে না।

অতঃপর যদি তারা ধৈর্যধারণ করে তবে আগুনই হবে তাদের আবাস এবং যদি তারা আল্লাহকে সন্তুষ্ট করতে চায়, তবুও তারা আল্লাহর সন্তোষপ্রাপ্তদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবে না।

এখন তারা ধৈর্য ধারণ করলেও জাহান্নামই হবে তাদের আবাস স্থল এবং তারা অনুগ্রহ চাইলেও অনুগ্রহ প্রাপ্ত হবেনা।

অতঃপর যদি তারা ধৈর্য ধারণ করে তবে আগুনই হবে তাদের আবাস। আর যদি তারা সস্তুষ্টি বিধান করতে চায় তবে তারা সন্তুষ্টিপ্রাপ্তদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবে না।

এখন তারা ধৈর্যধারণ করলেও জাহান্নামই হবে তাদের আবাস এবং তারা অনুগ্রহ চাইলেও তারা অনুগ্রহপ্রাপ্ত হবে না।

২৪. অতএব, যাদের বিপক্ষে তাদের কান, চোখ ও ত্বক সাক্ষ্য প্রদান করেছে তারা যদি ধৈর্য ধারণ করে তো করলো। নচেৎ তারা যদি শাস্তি থেকে মুক্ত হতে চায় কিংবা আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি কামনা করে তবে তারা তা অর্জন করতে পারবে না। আর না তারা আদৗ জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করতে পারবে।
