ফুসসিলাত: 43

Nothing is said to you, [O Muḥammad], except what was already said to the messengers before you. Indeed, your Lord is a possessor of forgiveness and a possessor of painful penalty.

Nothing is said to you (O Muhammad SAW) except what was said to the Messengers before you. Verily, your Lord is the Possessor of forgiveness, and (also) the Possessor of painful punishment.

Nothing is being said to you but what has been said to the messengers before you. Your Lord is certainly the Lord of forgiveness and the Lord of painful punishment.

(O Prophet), nothing is said to you but what was already said to the Messengers before you. Surely your Lord is the Lord of forgiveness and the Lord of grievous chastisement.

Naught is said unto thee (Muhammad) save what was said unto the messengers before thee. Lo! thy Lord is owner of forgiveness, and owner (also) of dire punishment.

Nothing is said to thee that was not said to the messengers before thee: that thy lord has at his Command (all) forgiveness as well as a most Grievous Penalty.

তোমাকে তা-ই বলা হচ্ছে যা বলা হত তোমার পূর্ববর্তী রসূলদেরকে। তোমার প্রতিপালক অবশ্যই ক্ষমার অধিকারী, আর যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তিদাতা।

তোমাকে যা বলা হচ্ছে, তোমার পূর্ববর্তী রাসূলদেরকেও তাই বলা হয়েছিল। নিশ্চয় তোমার রব একান্তই ক্ষমাশীল এবং যন্ত্রণাদায়ক আযাব দাতা।

তোমার সম্বন্ধেতো তাই বলা হয় যা বলা হত তোমার পূর্ববর্তী রাসূলদের সম্পর্কে। তোমার রাব্ব অবশ্যই ক্ষমাশীল এবং কঠিন শাস্তিদাতা।

আপনাকে শুধু তা-ই বলা হয়, যা বলা হতো আপনার পূর্ববর্তী রাসূলগণকে। নিশ্চয় আপনার রব একান্তই ক্ষমাশীল এবং যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তিদাতা।

তোমার সম্বন্ধে তো তাই বলা হয় যা বলা হত তোমার পূর্ববর্তী রাসূলদের সম্পর্র্কে। তোমার প্রতিপালক অবশ্যই ক্ষমাশীল এবং যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তিদাতা।

৪৩. হে রাসূল! আপনাকে মিথ্যারোপমূলক যা বলা হচ্ছে তা আপনার পূর্বেকার রাসূলদেরকেও বলা হয়েছে। তাই আপনি ধৈর্য ধারণ করুন। কেননা, আপনার প্রতিপালক তাঁর তাওবাকারী বান্দাদের তাওবা কবুলকারী। পক্ষান্তরে যে নিজে বারংবার পাপে অভ্যস্ত ও তাঁর প্রতি তাওবা করে না তার জন্য তিনি কষ্টদায়ক শাস্তি প্রদানকারী।
