আল-আনকাবুত: 40

So each We seized for his sin; and among them were those upon whom We sent a storm of stones, and among them were those who were seized by the blast [from the sky], and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned. And Allāh would not have wronged them, but it was they who were wronging themselves.

So We punished each (of them) for his sins, of them were some on whom We sent Hasiban (a violent wind with shower of stones) [as the people of Lout (Lot)], and of them were some who were overtaken by As-Saihah [torment - awful cry, etc. (as Thamud or Shu'aib's people)], and of them were some whom We caused the earth to swallow [as Qarun (Korah)], and of them were some whom We drowned [as the people of Nuh (Noah), or Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his people]. It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wronged themselves.

Thus We seized each one of them for his sin. So to some of them We sent a violent wind; and some of them were seized by a Cry; and some of them We made to sink in the earth; and some of them We drowned. And Allah was not to do injustice to them, but they used to do injustice to their own selves.

So We seized each for their sin. We let loose upon some a violent tornado with showers of stones; some were overtaken by a mighty Cry; some were caused to be swallowed up by the earth, and some We drowned. Allah would not wrong them, but it is they who wronged themselves.

So We took each one in his sin; of them was he on whom We sent a hurricane, and of them was he who was overtaken by the (Awful) Cry, and of them was he whom We caused the earth to swallow, and of them was he whom We drowned. It was not for Allah to wrong them, but they wronged themselves.

Each one of them We seized for his crime: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): It was not Allah Who injured (or oppressed) them:" They injured (and oppressed) their own souls.

ওদের প্রত্যেককেই আমি তার পাপের কারণে পাকড়াও করেছিলাম। তাদের কারো প্রতি আমি পাঠিয়েছিলাম পাথরসহ ঝটিকা, কারো প্রতি আঘাত হেনেছিল বজ্রের প্রচন্ড আওয়াজ, কাউকে আমি প্রোথিত করেছি ভূগর্ভে আর কাউকে দিয়েছিলাম ডুবিয়ে। তাদের প্রতি আল্লাহ কোন যুলম করেননি, তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের প্রতি যুলম করেছিল।

অতঃপর এদের প্রত্যেককে নিজ নিজ পাপের কারণে আমি পাকড়াও করেছিলাম; তাদের কারো উপর আমি পাথরকুচির ঝড় পাঠিয়েছি, কাউকে পাকড়াও করেছে বিকট আওয়াজ, কাউকে আবার মাটিতে দাবিয়ে দিয়েছি আর কাউকে পানিতে ডুবিয়ে দিয়েছি। আল্লাহ এমন নন যে, তাদের উপর যুলম করবেন বরং তারা নিজেরা নিজদের ওপর যুল্‌ম করত।

তাদের প্রত্যেককেই তাদের অপরাধের জন্য শাস্তি দিয়েছিলাম; তাদের কারও প্রতি প্রেরণ করেছি প্রস্তরসহ প্রচন্ড ঝটিকা, তাদের কেহকে আঘাত করেছিল মহানাদ, কেহকে আমি প্রোথিত করেছিলাম ভূ-গর্ভে এবং কেহকে করেছিলাম নিমজ্জিত। আল্লাহ তাদের প্রতি কোন যুল্‌ম করেননি; তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের প্রতি যুল্‌ম করেছিল।

সুতরাং তাদের প্রত্যেককেই আমরা তার অপরাধের জন্য পাকড়াও করেছিলাম। তাদের কারো উপর আমরা পাঠিয়েছিলাম পাথরকুচিসম্পন্ন প্রচণ্ড ঝটিকা, তাদের কাউকে আঘাত করেছিল মহানাদ, কাউকে আমরা প্রোথিত করেছিলাম ভূগর্ভে এবং কাউকে আমরা করেছিলাম নিমজ্জিত। আর আল্লাহ এমন নন যে, তিনি তাদের প্রতি যুলুম করবেন; বরং তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের প্রতি জুলুম করেছিল।

তাদের প্রত্যেককেই আমি তার অপরাধের জন্য শাস্তি দিয়েছিলাম: তাদের কারো প্রতি প্রেরণ করেছি প্রস্তরসহ প্রবল বাতাস, তাদের কাউকে আঘাত করেছিল বিকট শব্দ, কাউকে আমি প্রোথিত করেছিলাম ভূগর্ভে এবং কাউকে দিয়েছিলাম ডুবিয়ে। আল্লাহ তা‘আলা তাদের প্রতি কোন জুলুম করেননি; তারা নিজেরাই নিজেদের প্রতি জুলুম করেছিল।

৪০. ধ্বংসাত্মক শাস্তির মাধ্যমে আমি তাদের উপরোক্ত সবাইকে পাকড়াও করেছি। লুত সম্প্রদায়ের উপর আমি স্তরবিশিষ্ট শক্ত মাটির পাথর পাঠিয়েছি। সালিহ ও শুআইব (আলাইহিমাস-সালাম) এর সম্প্রদায়কে কঠিন বজ্র নিনাদ পাকড়াও করেছে। কারূন ও তার ঘরকে আমি জমিনে ধ্বসিয়ে দিয়েছি। নূহ, ফিরআউন ও হামান সম্প্রদায়কে পানিতে ডুবিয়ে ধ্বংস করেছি। কোন গুনাহ ছাড়া এমনিতেই তাদেরকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়ে আল্লাহ তা‘আলা তাদের উপর কোন যুলুম করেননি। বরং তারা গুনাহে লিপ্ত হয়ে নিজেদের উপর যুলুম করে নিজেরাই শাস্তির উপযুক্ত হয়েছে।
