আল-আনকাবুত: 18

And if you [people] deny [the message] - already nations before you have denied. And there is not upon the Messenger except [the duty of] clear notification.

"And if you deny, then nations before you have denied (their Messengers). And the duty of the Messenger is only to convey (the Message) plainly."

And if you reject me, then many nations have rejected their messengers before you. The messenger has no more obligation than to convey the message clearly.”

And if you give the lie (to the Messenger), then many nations before you also gave the lie (to their Messengers). The Messenger is charged with no other duty than to deliver the Message in clear terms.”

But if ye deny, then nations have denied before you. The messenger is only to convey (the message) plainly.

"And if ye reject (the Message), so did generations before you: and the duty of the messenger is only to preach publicly (and clearly)."

তোমরা যদি (রাসূলকে) মিথ্যে বলে অস্বীকার কর তবে তোমাদের পূর্বের বংশাবলীও অস্বীকার করেছিল, সুস্পষ্টভাবে প্রচার করা ব্যতীত রসূলের উপর কোন দায়িত্ব নেই।

আর তোমরা যদি মিথ্যারোপ কর, তবে তোমাদের পূর্বে অনেক জাতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল। আর রাসূলের উপর দায়িত্ব তো কেবল সুস্পষ্টভাবে পৌঁছানো।

তোমরা যদি আমাকে মিথ্যাবাদী বল তাহলে জেনে রেখ যে, তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও নাবীদেরকে মিথ্যাবাদী বলেছিল। সুস্পষ্টভাবে প্রচার করা ছাড়া রাসূলের আর কোন দায়িত্ব নেই।

আর যদি তোমরা মিথ্যারোপ কর তবে তো তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীরাও মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল। সুস্পষ্টভাবে প্রচার করা ছাড়া রাসূলের আর কোনো দায়িত্ব নেই।

তোমরা যদি অস্বীকার কর তবে তো তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীগণও অস্বীকার করেছিল। সুস্পষ্টভাবে প্রচার করে দেয়া ব্যতীত রাসূলের আর কোন দায়িত্ব নেই।

১৮. হে মুশরিকরা! তোমরা যদি মুহাম্মাদ (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম) আনীত বিধানকে মিথ্যা বলে অস্বীকার করো তাহলে মনে রাখো এটি কোন নতুন বিষয় নয় বরং তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তী উম্মতরাও এমনিভাবে অস্বীকার করেছে যেমন: নূহ, আদ ও সামূদ জাতিসমূহ। মূলতঃ রাসূলের কাজই হলো সুস্পষ্টভাবে পৌঁছিয়ে দেয়া। আর তিনি ইতিমধ্যেই তাঁর প্রতিপালক কর্তৃক নির্দেশিত বাণী তোমাদের নিকট পৌঁছিয়ে দিয়েছেন।
