আয-যুমার: 26

So Allāh made them taste disgrace in worldly life. But the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew.

So Allah made them to taste the disgrace in the present life, but greater is the torment of the Hereafter if they only knew!

Then Allah made them taste disgrace in the worldly life, and of course the punishment of the Hereafter is much greater. Only if they knew!

So Allah made them taste degradation in the life of this world, and certainly the chastisement of the Hereafter will be much more grievous. Would that they knew!

Thus Allah made them taste humiliation in the life of the world, and verily the doom of the Hereafter will be greater if they did but know.

So Allah gave them a taste of humiliation in the present life, but greater is the punishment of the Hereafter, if they only knew!

কাজেই আল্লাহ তাদেরকে দুনিয়ার জিন্দেগিতেই লাঞ্ছনার স্বাদ ভোগ করালেন। আর অবশ্যই আখিরাতের শাস্তি সবচেয়ে কঠিন। তারা যদি জানত!

ফলে তাদেরকে আল্লাহ দুনিয়ার জীবনে লাঞ্ছনা আস্বাদন করালেন, আর আখিরাতের আযাব নিশ্চয় আরো বড়, যদি তারা জানত।

ফলে আল্লাহ তাদেরকে পার্থিব জীবনে লাঞ্ছনা ভোগ করালেন এবং আখিরাতের শাস্তিতো কঠিনতর, যদি তারা জানতো!

ফলে আল্লাহ্ তাদেরকে দুনিয়ার জীবনে লাঞ্ছনা ভোগ করালেন, আর আখিরাতের শাস্তি তো আরো কঠিন। যদি তারা জানত!

অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাদেরকে পার্থিব জীবনেই অপমানের স্বাদ ভোগ করালেন, আর পরকালের শাস্তি তো আরও ভীষণ। (কতই না ভাল হত) যদি তারা জানত!

২৬. এই শাস্তির মাধ্যমে আল্লাহ তাদেরকে দুনিয়ার জীবনে অপমান, অপদস্ত এবং গ্লানির স্বাদ আস্বাদন করান। তারা যদি জানতো তবে বুঝতে পারতো যে, পরকালের যে শাস্তি তাদের জন্য অপেক্ষা করছে তা অপেক্ষাকৃত বড় ও কঠোর ।
