আয-যুমার: 59

But yes, there had come to you My verses, but you denied them and were arrogant, and you were among the disbelievers.

Yes! Verily, there came to you My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and you denied them, and were proud and were among the disbelievers.

No! My verses had reached you, but you called them untrue, and waxed proud, and became of those who disbelieved.

Yes indeed! But My Signs came to you and you rejected them as lies, and waxed arrogant and were among those who disbelieved.

(But now the answer will be): Nay, for My revelations came unto thee, but thou didst deny them and wast scornful and wast among the disbelievers.

"(The reply will be:) 'Nay, but there came to thee my Signs, and thou didst reject them: thou wast Haughty, and became one of those who reject faith!'"

(তাকে উত্তর দেয়া হবে) না, বরং তোমার কাছে আমার নিদর্শন এসেছিল, তখন তুমি সেগুলোকে মিথ্যে বলে অস্বীকার করেছিলে, অহংকার করেছিলে আর কাফিরদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলে।

হ্যাঁ, অবশ্যই তোমার কাছে আমার নিদর্শনাবলী এসেছিল, অতঃপর তুমি সেগুলোকে অস্বীকার করেছিলে এবং তুমি অহঙ্কার করেছিলে। আর তুমি কাফিরদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিলে।

প্রকৃত ব্যাপারতো এই যে, আমার নিদর্শন তোমার নিকট এসেছিল, কিন্তু তুমি এগুলিকে মিথ্যা বলেছিলে এবং অহংকার করেছিলে; আর তুমিতো ছিলে কাফিরদের একজন।

হ্যাঁ, অবশ্যই আমার নিদর্শন তোমার কাছে এসেছিল, কিন্তু তুমি এগুলোতে মিথ্যারোপ করেছিলে এবং অহংকার করেছিলে; আর তুমি ছিলে কাফিরদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।

(যখন বলা হবে) হ্যাঁ, অবশ্যই আমার নিদর্শন তোমার নিকট এসেছিল, কিন্তু তুমি এগুলোকে মিথ্যা সাব্যস্ত করেছিলে ও অহঙ্কার করেছিলে, আর তুমি তো ছিলে কাফিরদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।

৫৯. তবে বিষয়টি এমন নয় যেমনটি হেদায়েতের আকাঙ্খাকারী পোষণ করতে পারে। বস্তুতঃ তোমার নিকট আমার আয়াতসমূহ আগমন করেছে। অতঃপর তুমি সেগুলোকে অবিশ্বাস করেছো এবং সেগুলোর প্রতি অহঙ্কার প্রদর্শন করেছো। আর তুমি আল্লাহ ও তাঁর আয়াতসমূহ এবং রাসূলদের অবিশ্বাসকারী ছিলে।
