আয-যুমার: 38

And if you asked them, "Who created the heavens and the earth?" they would surely say, "Allāh." Say, "Then have you considered what you invoke besides Allāh? If Allāh intended me harm, are they removers of His harm; or if He intended me mercy, are they withholders of His mercy?" Say, "Sufficient for me is Allāh; upon Him [alone] rely the [wise] reliers."

And verily, if you ask them: "Who created the heavens and the earth?" Surely, they will say: "Allah (has created them)." Say: "Tell me then, the things that you invoke besides Allah, if Allah intended some harm for me, could they remove His harm, or if He (Allah) intended some mercy for me, could they withhold His Mercy?" Say: "Sufficient for me is Allah; in Him those who trust (i.e. believers) must put their trust."

If you ask them as to who created the heavens and the earth, they will certainly say, “Allah.” Say, “Then, tell me about those whom you invoke other than Allah, if Allah intends to cause some harm to me, are they (able) to remove the harm caused by Him? Or if He intends to bless me with mercy, are they (able) to hold back His mercy (from me)?” Say, “Allah is sufficient for me. In Him trust those who (rightly) trust (in someone).”

If you ask them: “Who created the heavens and the earth?” they will surely answer: “Allah.” Tell them: “What do you think, then, of the deities whom you call upon instead of Allah? If Allah should will that an affliction befall me, will those deities remove the harm inflicted by Him? Or if Allah should will that I receive (His) Mercy, will they be able to withhold His Mercy from me?” Say: “Allah is sufficient for me; those who have to put their trust, let them put their trust in Him.

And verily, if thou shouldst ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth? they will say: Allah. Say: Bethink you then of those ye worship beside Allah, if Allah willed some hurt for me, could they remove from me His hurt; or if He willed some mercy for me, could they restrain His mercy? Say: Allah is my all. In Him do (all) the trusting put their trust.

If indeed thou ask them who it is that created the heavens and the earth, they would be sure to say, "Allah". Say: "See ye then? the things that ye invoke besides Allah,- can they, if Allah wills some Penalty for me, remove His Penalty?- Or if He wills some Grace for me, can they keep back his Grace?" Say: "Sufficient is Allah for me! In Him trust those who put their trust."

তুমি যদি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস কর- আকাশ ও পৃথিবী সৃষ্টি করেছে কে? তারা অবশ্য অবশ্যই বলবে, আল্লাহ। তোমরা কি চিন্তা করে দেখেছ যে, আল্লাহ আমার ক্ষতি করতে চাইলে আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে তোমরা যাদেরকে ডাক, তারা কি সে ক্ষতি দূর করতে পারবে? অথবা তিনি আমার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করতে চাইলে, তারা কি তাঁর অনুগ্রহ ঠেকাতে পারবে? বল, আমার জন্য আল্লাহ্ই যথেষ্ট, নির্ভরকারীরা তাঁর উপরই নির্ভর করে।

আর তুমি যদি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা কর, কে আসমানসমূহ ও যমীন সৃষ্টি করেছে? তারা অবশ্যই বলবে ‘আল্লাহ’। বল, ‘তোমরা কি ভেবে দেখেছ- আল্লাহ আমার কোন ক্ষতি চাইলে তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদের ডাক তারা কি সেই ক্ষতি দূর করতে পারবে? অথবা তিনি আমাকে রহমত করতে চাইলে তারা সেই রহমত প্রতিরোধ করতে পারবে’? বল, ‘আমার জন্য আল্লাহই যথেষ্ট’। তাওয়াক্কুলকারীগণ তাঁর উপরই তাওয়াক্কুল করে।

তুমি যদি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করঃ আকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবী কে সৃষ্টি করেছেন? তারা অবশ্যই বলবেঃ আল্লাহ! বলঃ তোমরা কি ভেবে দেখেছ যে, আল্লাহ আমার অনিষ্ট চাইলে তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদেরকে ডাক তারা কি সেই অনিষ্টতা দূর করতে পারবে? অথবা তিনি আমার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করতে চাইলে তারা কি সেই অনুগ্রহ রোধ করতে পারবে? বলঃ আমার জন্য আল্লাহই যথেষ্ট। নির্ভরকারীরা আল্লাহর উপর নির্ভর করে।

আর আপনি যদি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করেন, আসমানসমূহ ও যমীন কে সৃষ্টি করেছেন? তারা অবশ্যই বলবে, 'আল্লাহ্।' বলুন, 'তোমরা ভেবে দেখেছ কি, আল্লাহ্ আমার অনিষ্ট করতে চাইলে তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদেরকে ডাক তারা কি সে অনিষ্ট দূর করতে পারবে অথবা তিনি আমার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করতে চাইলে তারা কি সে অনুগ্রহকে রোধ করতে পারবে?' বলুন, 'আমার জন্য আল্লাহই যথেষ্ট।' নির্ভরকারীগণ তাঁর উপরই নির্ভর করে।

তুমি যদি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা কর, আকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবী কে সৃষ্টি করেছেন? তারা অবশ্যই বলবে, আল্লাহ। বল : তোমরা কি ভেবে দেখছ যে, আল্লাহ আমার অনিষ্ট চাইলে তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদেরকে ডাক তারা কি সেই অনিষ্ট দূর করতে পারবে? অথবা তিনি আমার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করতে চাইলে তারা কি সে অনুগ্রহকে বাধাগ্রস্ত করতে পারবে? বল : আমার জন্য আল্লাহই যথেষ্ট। নির্ভরকারীরা তার ওপরই নির্ভর করে।

৩৮. হে রাসূল! আপনি যদি এসব মুশরিককে জিজ্ঞেস করেন যে, আসমান-যমীন কে সৃষ্টি করেছে? তবে অবশ্যই তারা বলবে, এগুলোকে আল্লাহই সৃষ্টি করেছেন। আপনি তাদের দেবতাদের অপারগতার কথা প্রকাশার্থে বলুন: তোমরা সেসব দেবতার সংবাদ দাও আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে তোমরা যাদের ইবাদাত করো। আল্লাহ যদি আমার ক্ষতি করতে চান তবে এরা কি আমাকে তা থেকে রক্ষা করতে পারবে?! কিংবা তিনি যদি আমার উপর দয়া করতে চান তবে কি এরা আমাকে থেকে তা বারণ করতে পারবে?! আপনি তাদেরকে বলুন: এক আল্লাহই আমার জন্য যথেষ্ট। আমি তাঁর উপর আমার সর্ব বিষয়ে ভরসা করছি। বস্তুতঃ তাঁর উপরই এককভাবে মুমিনরা ভরসা করে।
