আয-যুমার: 47

And if those who did wrong had all that is in the earth entirely and the like of it with it, they would [attempt to] ransom themselves thereby from the worst of the punishment on the Day of Resurrection. And there will appear to them from Allāh that which they had not taken into account.

And those who did wrong (the polytheists and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah), if they had all that is in earth and therewith as much again, they verily, would offer it to ransom themselves therewith on the Day of Resurrection from the evil torment, and there will become apparent to them from Allah, what they had not been reckoning.

Were the wrongdoers to own all that is on earth, and even twice as much, they would surely seek to ransom themselves with it against the evil punishment on the Day of Judgment. There will appear to them from Allah what they have never imagined.

If the wrong-doers possessed the treasures of the earth in their entirety and as much besides, they would gladly offer it on the Day of Resurrection to redeem themselves from the harrowing chastisement. This because there will appear to them from Allah something (exceedingly dismal which) they had never even imagined.

And though those who do wrong possess all that is in the earth, and therewith as much again, they verily will seek to ransom themselves therewith on the Day of Resurrection from the awful doom; and there will appear unto them, from their Lord, that wherewith they never reckoned.

Even if the wrong-doers had all that there is on earth, and as much more, (in vain) would they offer it for ransom from the pain of the Penalty on the Day of Judgment: but something will confront them from Allah, which they could never have counted upon!

যারা অন্যায়কারী দুনিয়াতে যা কিছু আছে সমস্ত কিছু যদি তাদেরই হয়, আর তার সাথে আরো অত পরিমাণ হয়, তারা ক্বিয়ামতের কঠিন ‘আযাব থেকে বাঁচার জন্য মুক্তিপণ স্বরূপ দিতে চাইবে। সেখানে আল্লাহর নিকট থেকে তারা এমন কিছুর সম্মুখীন হবে যা তারা কক্ষনো অনুমানও করেনি।

আর যারা যুলম করেছে, যদি যমীনে যা আছে তা সব এবং এর সমপরিমাণও তাদের জন্য হয়; তবে কিয়ামতের দিন কঠিন আযাব থেকে বাঁচার জন্য মুক্তিপণস্বরূপ তারা তা দিয়ে দেবে। সেখানে আল্লাহর কাছে থেকে তাদের জন্য এমন কিছু প্রকাশিত হবে, যা তারা কখনো কল্পনাও করত না।

যারা যুল্‌ম করেছে, যদি তাদের দুনিয়ায় যা আছে তা সম্পূর্ণ এবং এর সম পরিমাণ সম্পদও থাকে তাহলে কিয়ামাত দিবসে কঠিন শাস্তি হতে মুক্তিপণ স্বরূপ সকল বিষয় সম্পত্তি তারা দিয়ে দিবে এবং তাদের জন্য আল্লাহর নিকট হতে এমন কিছু প্রকাশিত হবে যা তারা কল্পনাও করেনি।

আর যারা যুলুম করেছে, যদি যমীনে যা আছে তা সম্পূর্ণ এবং তার সাথে এর সমপরিমাণও তাদের হয়, তবে কিয়ামতের দিন কঠিন শাস্তি হতে মুক্তিপণস্বরূপ তার সবটুকুই তারা দিয়ে দেবে এবং তাদের জন্য আল্লাহর কাছ থেকে এমন কিছু প্ৰকাশিত হবে যা তারা ধারণাও করেনি।

যারা জুলুম করেছে তাদের কাছে যদি সমস্ত পৃথিবীর যাবতীয় সম্পদ এবং তার সাথে থাকে সমপরিমাণ সম্পদ, কিয়ামতের দিন কঠিন শাস্তি হতে পরিত্রাণ লাভের আশায় মুক্তিপণস্বরূপ সকল কিছু তারা দিয়ে দিতে প্রস্তুত হবে। আর তাদের জন্য আল্লাহর নিকট হতে এমন কিছু প্রকাশিত হবে, যা তারা ধারণাও করেনি।

৪৭. যারা শিরক ও পাপাচারের মাধ্যমে স্বীয় আত্মার উপর অত্যাচার করেছে তারা পৃথিবীর মূল্যবান বস্তু এবং সম্পদের মালিক হলেও পুনরুত্থানের পর সব কিছু মুক্তিপণ হিসাবে প্রদান করেও প্রত্যক্ষ করা কঠিন শাস্তি হতে মুক্তি পাবে না। আর তারা এসবের মালিক হবে ধরে নেয়া হলেও তাদের পক্ষ থেকে তা গ্রহণ করা হবে না। আর তাদের সামনে ধারণাতীত বহু ধরনের শাস্তি প্রকাশ পাবে।
