গাফির: 56

Indeed, those who dispute concerning the signs of Allāh without [any] evidence having come to them - there is not within their breasts except pride, [the extent of] which they cannot reach. So seek refuge in Allāh. Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Seeing.

Verily, those who dispute about the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, without any authority having come to them, there is nothing else in their breasts except pride [to accept you (Muhammad SAW) as a Messenger of Allah and to obey you]. They will never have it (i.e. Prophethood which Allah has bestowed upon you). So seek refuge in Allah (O Muhammad SAW from the arrogants). Verily, it is He Who is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.

Surely, those who quarrel in Allah’s verses without any authority having reached them, there is nothing in their hearts but pride of greatness that they are not (able) to reach. So, seek refuge with Allah. Surely, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.

Verily those who dispute regarding the Signs of Allah without any evidence that might have come to them, nothing but vain pride fills their hearts. Yet they shall never be able to satisfy the pride with which they are puffed up. So seek refuge with Allah. Verily He is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.

Lo! those who wrangle concerning the revelations of Allah without a warrant having come unto them, there is naught else in their breasts save pride which they will never attain. So take thou refuge in Allah. Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Seer.

Those who dispute about the signs of Allah without any authority bestowed on them,- there is nothing in their breasts but (the quest of) greatness, which they shall never attain to: seek refuge, then, in Allah: It is He Who hears and sees (all things).

কোন সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ না পেয়েই যারা আল্লাহর আয়াত সম্পর্কে তর্ক করে, তাদের বুকের ভিতর আছে কেবল অহংকার, কিন্তু তারা তা (অর্থাৎ প্রকৃত বড়ত্ব ও শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব আল্লাহর দয়া ছাড়া) কক্ষনো অর্জন করতে পারে না। কাজেই আল্লাহর কাছে আশ্রয় চাও, (কারণ) তিনি সব কিছু শোনেন, সব কিছু দেখেন।

নিশ্চয় যারা তাদের নিকট আসা কোন দলীল- প্রমাণ ছাড়াই আল্লাহর নিদর্শনাবলী সম্পর্কে বিতর্ক করে, তাদের অন্তরসমূহে আছে কেবল অহঙ্কার, তারা কিছুতেই সেখানে (সাফল্যের মনযিলে) পৌঁছবে না। কাজেই তুমি আল্লাহর কাছে আশ্রয় চাও, নিশ্চয় তিনি সর্বশ্রোতা, সর্বদ্রষ্টা।

যারা নিজেদের নিকট কোন দলীল না থাকলেও আল্লাহর নিদর্শন সম্পর্কে বিতর্কে লিপ্ত হয় তাদের অন্তরে আছে শুধু অহংকার, যা সফল হবার নয়। অতএব আল্লাহর শরণাপন্ন হও, তিনিতো সর্বশ্রোতা, সর্বদ্রষ্টা।

নিশ্চয় যারা নিজেদের কাছে কোনো দলীল না থাকলেও আল্লাহর নিদর্শনাবলী সম্পর্কে বিতর্কে লিপ্ত হয়, তাদের অন্তরে আছে শুধু অহংকার, তারা এ ব্যাপারে সফলকাম হবে না। অতএব আপনি আল্লাহর নিকট আশ্রয় চান; নিশ্চয় তিনি সর্বশ্রোতা, সর্বদ্ৰষ্টা।

যারা নিজেদের নিকট কোন দলীল না থাকলেও আল্লাহর নিদর্শন সম্পর্কে বিতর্কে লিপ্ত হয়, তাদের অন্তরে আছে শুধু অহংকার, যা সফল হবার নয়। অতএব আল্লাহর শরণাপন্ন হও, তিনি তো সর্বশ্রোতা, সর্বদ্রষ্টা।

৫৬. যারা কোনরূপ দলীল-প্রমাণ ব্যতিরেকে আল্লাহর আয়াতগুলোকে বাতিল করার উদ্দেশ্যে সেগুলো নিয়ে তর্ক করে তাদেরকে এই কাজে হকের ক্ষেত্রে অহঙ্কার প্রদর্শন ব্যতীত অন্য কিছু উদ্বুদ্ধ করে না। বস্তুতঃ তারা নিজেদের বড়ত্ব প্রদর্শনের উদ্দেশ্য সাধন পর্যন্ত আদৗ পৌঁছুতে পারবে না। অতএব, হে রাসূল! আপনি আল্লাহকে দৃঢ়তার সাথে ধরে থাকুন। তিনি তাঁর বান্দাদের কথাগুলো শ্রবণ করেন ও তাদের কার্যাবলী দেখেন। এ সবের কোন কিছু তাঁর আয়ত্বের বাহিরে নয়। ফলে তিনি এর উপর যথাযথ প্রতিদান দিবেন।
