আরবি
فَلَمَّا جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ فَرِحُوا۟ بِمَا عِندَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
English Translations
And when their messengers came to them with clear proofs, they [merely] rejoiced in what they had of knowledge, but they were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
Then when their Messengers came to them with clear proofs, they were glad (and proud) with that which they had of the knowledge (of worldly things): And that at which they used to mock, surrounded them (i.e. the punishment).
When their messengers came to them with manifest signs, they exulted because of whatever knowledge they had, and they were encircled by what they used to ridicule.
When their Messengers came to them with Clear Signs, they arrogantly exulted in whatever knowledge they had. They were then encompassed by what they had mocked.
And when their messengers brought them clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty) they exulted in the knowledge they (themselves) possessed. And that which they were wont to mock befell them.
For when their messengers came to them with Clear Signs, they exulted in such knowledge (and skill) as they had; but that very (Wrath) at which they were wont to scoff hemmed them in.
বাংলা অনুবাদ
তাদের কাছে যখন তাদের রসূলগণ স্পষ্ট নিদর্শন নিয়ে আসল, তখন তারা তাদের নিজেদের কাছে যে জ্ঞান ও বিদ্যা ছিল তাতেই উৎফুল্ল হয়ে উঠল। অতঃপর যা নিয়ে তারা ঠাট্টা বিদ্রুপ করত তা-ই তাদেরকে ঘিরে ফেলল।
তারপর তাদের কাছে যখন তাদের রাসূলগণ স্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদিসহ আসল তখন তারা তাদের নিজদের কাছে যে বিদ্যা ছিল তাতেই উৎফুল্ল হয়ে উঠল। আর যা নিয়ে তাঁরা ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপ করত তা-ই তাদেরকে পরিবেষ্টন করল।
তাদের নিকট যখন স্পষ্ট নিদর্শনসহ তাদের রাসূল আসত তখন তারা নিজেদের জ্ঞানের দম্ভ করত। তারা যা নিয়ে ঠাট্টা বিদ্রুপ করত তাই তাদেরকে বেষ্টন করল।
অতঃপর তাদের কাছে যখন স্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদিসহ তাদের রাসূলগণ আসলেন, তখন তারা নিজেদের কাছে বিদ্যমান থাকা জ্ঞানে উৎফুল্ল হল। আর তারা যা নিয়ে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রুপ করত তা-ই তাদেরকে বেষ্টন করল।
তাদের নিকট যখন নিদর্শনাবলীসহ তাদের রাসূলগণ আসতো তখন তারা নিজেদের জ্ঞানের দম্ভ করত। তারা যা নিয়ে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রূপ করত তা তাদেরকে বেষ্টন করল।
৮৩. তাদের নিকট যখন তাদের রাসূলগণ সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদি নিয়ে আগমন করলেন তখন তারা সেগুলোকে মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করলো আর নবীগণ কর্তৃক আনিত ইলমের বিপরীতে তাদের নিকট বিদ্যমান ইলমকে আঁকড়ে ধরার উপর সন্তুষ্ট থাকলো। অতঃপর তাদের উপর তাদের কর্তৃক উপহাসকৃত শাস্তি পতিত হলো। যে ব্যাপারে তাদের রাসূলগণ তাদেরকে ভীতি প্রদর্শন করতেন।

অতঃপর তাদের কাছে যখন স্পষ্ট প্রমাণাদিসহ তাদের রাসূলগণ আসলেন, তখন তারা নিজেদের কাছে বিদ্যমান থাকা জ্ঞানে উৎফুল্ল হল। আর তারা যা নিয়ে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রুপ করত তা-ই তাদেরকে বেষ্টন করল।
