আল-কাসাস: 50

But if they do not respond to you - then know that they only follow their [own] desires. And who is more astray than one who follows his desire without guidance from Allāh? Indeed, Allāh does not guide the wrongdoing people.

But if they answer you not (i.e. do not believe in your doctrine of Islamic Monotheism, nor follow you), then know that they only follow their own lusts. And who is more astray than one who follows his own lusts, without guidance from Allah? Verily! Allah guides not the people who are Zalimun (wrong-doers, disobedient to Allah, and polytheists).

So if they do not respond to you, be sure that they are only following their desires. And who is more astray than the one who follows his desire without guidance from Allah. Surely Allah does not take the wrongdoing people onto the right path.

But if they do not hearken to this, know well that they only follow their lusts and who is in greater error than he who follows his lusts without any guidance from Allah? Allah does not guide those given to wrong-doing.

And if they answer thee not, then know that what they follow is their lusts. And who goeth farther astray than he who followeth his lust without guidance from Allah. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.

But if they hearken not to thee, know that they only follow their own lusts: and who is more astray than one who follow his own lusts, devoid of guidance from Allah? for Allah guides not people given to wrong-doing.

অতঃপর তারা যদি তোমার কথায় সাড়া না দেয় তাহলে জেনে রেখ, তারা শুধু তাদের প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করে। আল্লাহর পথ নির্দেশ ছাড়াই যে নিজের প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করে, তার চেয়ে অধিক পথভ্রষ্ট আর কে আছে? আল্লাহ যালিম সম্প্রদায়কে সঠিক পথে পরিচালিত করেন না।

অতঃপর তারা যদি তোমার আহবানে সাড়া না দেয়, তাহলে জেনে রাখ, তারা তো নিজদের খেয়াল খুশীর অনুসরণ করে। আর আল্লাহর দিকনির্দেশনা ছাড়া যে নিজের খেয়াল খুশীর অনুসরণ করে তার চেয়ে অধিক পথভ্রষ্ট আর কে? নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ যালিম কওমকে হিদায়াত করেন না।

অতঃপর তারা যদি তোমার আহবানে সাড়া না দেয় তাহলে জানবে যে, তারা শুধু নিজেদের খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করে। আল্লাহর পথ-নির্দেশ অগ্রাহ্য করে যে ব্যক্তি নিজ খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করে সে অপেক্ষা অধিক বিভ্রান্ত আর কে? আল্লাহ যালিম সম্প্রদায়কে পথ প্রদর্শন করেননা।

তারপর তারা যদি আপনার ডাকে সাড়া না দেয়, তাহলে জানবেন তারা তো শুধু নিজেদের খেয়াল-খুশীরই অনুসরণ করে। আর আল্লাহ্‌র পথ নির্দেশ অগ্রাহ্য করে যে ব্যক্তি নিজ খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করে তার চেয়ে বেশী বিভ্রান্ত আর কে? আল্লাহ্‌ তো যালিম সম্প্রদায়কে হেদায়াত করেন না।

অতঃপর তারা যদি তোমার আহ্বানে সাড়া না দেয়, তাহলে জেনে রাখ যে, তারা কেবল নিজেদের খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করে। আল্লাহর পথনির্দেশ অগ্রাহ্য করে যে ব্যক্তি নিজ খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করে তার অপেক্ষা অধিক বিভ্রান্ত আর কে? আল্লাহ জালিম সম্প্রদায়কে পথনির্দেশ করেন না।

৫০. যদি কুরাইশরা তাওরাত ও কুর‘আনের চেয়ে আরো বেশি হিদায়েতপূর্ণ কিতাব আনার ডাকে সাড়া না দেয় তাহলে আপনি এ কথা দৃঢ়ভাবে বিশ্বাস করুন যে, তাদের এ দু’টিকে অস্বীকার করা মূলতঃ দলীলবিহীন ছিলো। বরং তা ছিলো সত্যিই কুপ্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণমাত্র। তার চেয়ে অধিক পথভ্রষ্ট আর কে হতে পারে যে আল্লাহর হিদায়েতের বিপরীতে নিজ কুপ্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করে। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ তা‘আলা তাঁর সাথে কুফরিকারী যালিম সম্প্রদায়কে হিদায়েত ও সঠিক পথের তাওফীক দেন না।
