আল-কাসাস: 86

And you were not expecting that the Book would be conveyed to you, but [it is] a mercy from your Lord. So do not be an assistant to the disbelievers.

And you were not expecting that the Book (this Quran) would be sent down to you, but it is a mercy from your Lord. So never be a supporter of the disbelievers.

You were not expecting that the Book would be sent down to you, but it was a mercy from your Lord. So, never be a supporter for the infidels.

(O Prophet), you never looked forward for the Book to be revealed to you. It is out of sheer Mercy of your Lord that it was (revealed to you). So do not lend any support to the unbelievers.

Thou hadst no hope that the Scripture would be inspired in thee; but it is a mercy from thy Lord, so never be a helper to the disbelievers.

And thou hadst not expected that the Book would be sent to thee except as a Mercy from thy Lord: Therefore lend not thou support in any way to those who reject (Allah's Message).

তুমি তো প্রত্যাশা করনি যে, তোমার প্রতি কিতাব অবতীর্ণ করা হবে। এটা তোমার প্রতিপালকের রহমত বিশেষ। কাজেই তুমি কক্ষনো কাফিরদের সমর্থনকারী হয়ো না।

আর তুমি আশা করছিলে না যে, তোমার প্রতি কিতাব (কুরআন) নাযিল করা হবে, বরং তা তোমার রবের পক্ষ থেকে রহমতস্বরূপ। অতএব, তুমি কখনো কাফিরদের জন্য সাহায্যকারী হয়ো না।

তুমি আশা করনি যে, তোমার প্রতি কিতাব অবতীর্ণ হবে। এটাতো শুধু তোমার রবের অনুগ্রহ। সুতরাং তুমি কখনও কাফিরদের সাহায্যকারী হয়োনা।

আর আপনি আশা করেননি যে, আপনার প্রতি কিতাব নাযিল হবে। এ তো শুধু আপনার রবের অনুগ্রহ। কাজেই আপনি কখনো কাফেরদের সহায় হবেন না।

তুমি আশা করনি যে, তোমার প্রতি কিতাব অবতীর্ণ করা হবে। এটা কেবল তোমার প্রতিপালকের অনুগ্রহ। সুতরাং তুমি কখনও কাফিরদের সহায় হয়ো না।

৮৬. হে রাসূল! আপনি কখনো নবুওয়াত পাওয়ার পূর্বে আশা করেননি যে, আপনার উপর ওহী আকারে আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে কুর‘আন নাযিল করা হবে। বরং আল্লাহ তা‘আলা দয়া করেই আপনার উপর তা নাযিল করেছেন। তাই আপনি কখনোই কাফিরদের ভ্রষ্টতার ব্যাপারে তাদের সহযোগী হবেন না।
