ইউসুফ: 26

[Joseph] said, "It was she who sought to seduce me." And a witness from her family testified, "If his shirt is torn from the front, then she has told the truth, and he is of the liars.

He [Yusuf (Joseph)] said: "It was she that sought to seduce me," - and a witness of her household bore witness (saying): "If it be that his shirt is torn from the front, then her tale is true and he is a liar!

He (Yūsuf) said, “It was she who tried to seduce me.” And a witness from her family observed that if his shirt was ripped from the front side, then she is true and he is a liar;

Joseph said: "It is she who was trying to tempt me to herself." And a witness belonging to her own household testified (on grounds of circumstantial evidence): "If his shirt is torn from the front, then she is telling the truth and he is a liar.

(Joseph) said: She it was who asked of me an evil act. And a witness of her own folk testified: If his shirt is torn from before, then she speaketh truth and he is of the liars.

He said: "It was she that sought to seduce me - from my (true) self." And one of her household saw (this) and bore witness, (thus):- "If it be that his shirt is rent from the front, then is her tale true, and he is a liar!

সে (ইউসুফ) বলল, ‘সে-ই আমা হতে অসৎ কর্ম কামনা করেছে’। তখন মহিলাটির পরিবারের এক সাক্ষী সাক্ষ্য দিল- ‘যদি তার জামা সম্মুখ দিক থেকে ছেঁড়া হয়ে থাকে, তবে মহিলাটি সত্য বলেছে আর সে মিথ্যাবাদীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।

সে বলল, ‘সে-ই আমাকে কুপ্ররোচনা দিয়েছে’। আর মহিলার পরিবার থেকে এক সাক্ষ্যদাতা সাক্ষ্য প্রদান করল, ‘যদি তার জামা সামনের দিক থেকে ছেঁড়া হয় তাহলে সে (মহিলা) সত্য বলেছে এবং সে (পুরুষ) মিথ্যাবাদীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত’।

সে (ইউসুফ) বললঃ সে’ই আমা হতে অসৎ কাজ কামনা করেছিল। স্ত্রী লোকটির পরিবারের একজন সাক্ষী সাক্ষ্য দিলঃ যদি তার জামার সম্মুখ দিক ছিন্ন করা হয়ে থাকে তাহলে স্ত্রী লোকটি সত্য কথা বলেছে এবং পুরুষটি মিথ্যাবাদী ।

ইউসুফ বললেন, ‘সে-ই আমাকে কু-প্ররোচনা দিয়েছে।’ আর স্ত্রীলোকটির পরিবারের একজন সাক্ষী সাক্ষ্য দিল, ‘যদি তার জামা সামনের দিকে ছিঁড়ে থাকে তবে স্ত্রীলোকটি সত্য কথা বলেছে এবং সে পুরুষটি মিথ্যাবাদীদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।

ইউসুফ বলল: ‘সে-ই আমার হতে অসৎকর্মের জন্য প্ররোচিত করেছিল।’ স্ত্রীলোকটির পরিবারের একজন সাক্ষী সাক্ষ্য দিল, ‘যদি তাঁর জামার সম্মুখ দিক ছিন্ন করা হয়ে থাকে তবে স্ত্রীলোকটি সত্য কথা বলেছে এবং পুরুষটি মিথ্যাবাদী,

২৬. ইউসুফ (আলাইহিস-সালাম) বললেন: সে-ই আমার সাথে অসৎকর্ম করতে চেয়েছে; আমি তার সাথে অসৎকর্ম করতে চাইনি। আল্লাহ তাআলা তার পরিবার থেকে এমন একজন শিশু নিয়োজিত করলেন যে দোলনাতেই কথা বলতে লাগল। আর সে এ বলে সাক্ষ্য দিল: ইউসুফের জামা যদি তার সামনে থেকে ছেঁড়া হয় তাহলে এতে প্রমানিত যে, মহিলাটির কথা সত্য। কেননা, এতে বুঝা যাচ্ছে যে, সে তখন নিজেকে হিফাযত করার জন্যই ইউসুফকে বাধা দিচ্ছিল। সুতরাং ইউসুফই মিথ্যাবাদী।
