আল-কালাম: 33
আরবি
كَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَكْبَرُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْلَمُونَ
English Translations
Such is the punishment [of this world]. And the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew.
Such is the punishment (in this life), but truly, the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they but knew.
In this way the punishment comes. And, of course, the punishment of the Hereafter is even greater, if they but realize!
Such is the chastisement; and the chastisement of the Hereafter is assuredly even greater, if only they knew.
Such was the punishment. And verily the punishment of the Hereafter is greater if they did but know.
Such is the Punishment (in this life); but greater is the Punishment in the Hereafter,- if only they knew!
বাংলা অনুবাদ
‘আযাব এ রকমই হয়ে থাকে। আর আখিরাতের ‘আযাব তো সবচেয়ে কঠিন। যদি তারা জানত!
এভাবেই হয় আযাব। আর পরকালের আযাব অবশ্যই আরো বড়, যদি তারা জানত।
শাস্তি এরূপই হয়ে থাকে এবং আখিরাতের শাস্তি কঠিনতর, যদি তারা জানত!
শাস্তি এরূপই হয়ে থাকে এবং আখিরাতের শাস্তি কঠিনতর। যদি তারা জানত !
শাস্তি এভাবেই এসে থাকে এবং আখিরাতের শাস্তি আরো কঠিন হবে যদি তারা জানতো!
৩৩. জীবিকা থেকে বঞ্চিত করার মতো এমন শাস্তি আমি তাদেরকেও দেবো যারা আমার অবাধ্য হয়। বস্তুতঃ পরকালের শাস্তি আরো মারাত্মক যদি তারা এর ভয়াবহতা ও স্থায়িত্ব সম্পর্কে জানতো।
তাফসীর
68:17
শাস্তি এরূপই হয়ে থাকে এবং আখিরাতের শাস্তি কঠিনতর। যদি তারা জানত [১] !
[১] মক্কাবাসীদের ওপর দুর্ভিক্ষরূপী আযাবের সংক্ষিপ্ত এবং উদ্যান মালিকদের ক্ষেত জ্বলে যাওয়ার বিস্তারিত বর্ণনার পর সাধারণ বিধি বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে যে, যখন আল্লাহ্র আযাব আসে, তখন এভাবেই আসে। দুনিয়ার এই আযাব আসার পরও তাদের আখেরাতের আযাব দূর হয়ে যায় না; বরং আখেরাতের আযাব ভিন্ন এবং তদপেক্ষা কঠোর হয়ে থাকে। [দেখুন-কুরতুবী]
