আল-কালাম: 9

They wish that you would soften [in your position], so they would soften [toward you].

They wish that you should compromise (in religion out of courtesy) with them, so they (too) would compromise with you.

They wish that you become flexible (in your faith), so that they should become flexible (in their hostile attitude.)

they would wish you to be pliant so that they too may be pliant.

Who would have had thee compromise, that they may compromise.

Their desire is that thou shouldst be pliant: so would they be pliant.

তারা চায় যে, তুমি যদি নমনীয় হও, তবে তারাও নমনীয় হবে,

তারা কামনা করে, যদি তুমি আপোষকামী হও, তবে তারাও আপোষকারী হবে।

তারা চায় যে, তুমি নমনীয় হও, তাহলে তারাও নমনীয় হবে।

তারা কামনা করে যে, আপনি আপোষকামী হোন, তাহলে তারাও আপোষকামী হবে,

তারা চায় যে, যদি তুমি নমনীয় হতে, তাহলে তারাও নমনীয় হবে;

৯. তারা কামনা করে যে, আপনি যদি ধর্মের ক্ষতি করে হলেও তাদের সাথে নম্রতা ও কোমলতা অবলম্বন করতেন তাহলে তারাও আপনার সাথে নম্র ও কোমল আচরণ করতো।
