আল-কালাম: 43

Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound.

Their eyes will be cast down, ignominy will cover them; they used to be called to prostrate (offer prayers), while they were healthy and good (in the life of the world, but they did not).

With their eyes downcast, they will be enveloped by ignominy. They used to be called upon to prostrate when they were healthy (but they did not.)

Their eyes shall be downcast and ignominy shall overwhelm them. For when they were safe and sound, they were summoned to prostrate themselves, (and they refused).

With eyes downcast, abasement stupefying them. And they had been summoned to prostrate themselves while they were yet unhurt.

Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused).

তাদের দৃষ্টি হবে অবনত, অপমান লাঞ্ছনা তাদের উপর চেপে বসবে। (দুনিয়াতে) তারা যখন সুস্থ ও নিরাপদ ছিল তখনও তাদেরকে সেজদা করার জন্য ডাকা হত (কিন্তু তারা সেজদা করত না)

তাদের দৃষ্টিসমূহ অবনত অবস্থায় থাকবে, অপমান তাদেরকে আচ্ছন্ন করবে। অথচ তাদেরকে তো নিরাপদ অবস্থায় সিজদা করার জন্য আহবান করা হত (তখন তো তারা সিজদা করেনি)।

তাদের দৃষ্টি অবনত, হীনতা তাদেরকে আচ্ছন্ন করবে, অথচ যখন তারা নিরাপদ ছিল তখনতো তাদেরকে আহবান করা হয়েছিল সাজদাহ করতে।

তাদের দৃষ্টি হবে অবনত, অপমানবোধ তাদেরকে আচ্ছন্ন করবে, অথচ যখন তারা নিরাপদ ছিল তখন তাদেরকে সিজদা করতে আহ্বান করা হয়েছিল। (কিন্তু তারা অমান্য করেছে)

৪৩. তাদের চক্ষু অবনমিত। তাদেরকে অপমান ও লজ্জা ঘিরে রাখবে। অথচ যখন তাদেরকে দুনিয়াতে সাজদা করার দিকে আহ্বান করা হয় তখন তারা আজকের তুলনায় অনেক নিরাপদ অবস্থায় ছিলো।
