আল-কাহফ: 14

And We bound [i.e., made firm] their hearts when they stood up and said, "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Never will we invoke besides Him any deity. We would have certainly spoken, then, an excessive transgression.

And We made their hearts firm and strong (with the light of Faith in Allah and bestowed upon them patience to bear the separation of their kith and kin and dwellings, etc.) when they stood up and said: "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, never shall we call upon any ilah (god) other than Him; if we did, we should indeed have uttered an enormity in disbelief.

We made their hearts firm when they stood up and said, “Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. We shall never invoke any god other than Him, otherwise we would be saying something far from the truth.

and strengthened their hearts when they stood up and proclaimed: "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. We shall call upon no other god beside Him; (for if we did so), we shall be uttering a blasphemy."

And We made firm their hearts when they stood forth and said: Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. We cry unto no Allah beside Him, for then should we utter an enormity.

We gave strength to their hearts: Behold, they stood up and said: "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and of the earth: never shall we call upon any god other than Him: if we did, we should indeed have uttered an enormity!

আর তাদের দিল মযবুত করে দিয়েছিলাম যখন তারা (মুশরিক রাজা ও তার অনুসারীদের বিরুদ্ধে) দাঁড়িয়ে গেল তখন বলল, ‘আমাদের প্রতিপালক তো তিনিই যিনি আসমানসমূহ যমীনের প্রতিপালক। আমরা কক্ষনো তাঁকে ত্যাগ করে অন্য কোন ইলাহকে ডাকব না। যদি আমরা ডাকি তাহলে মহা অপরাধের কথাই বলা হবে।

যখন তারা উঠেছিল, আমি তাদের অন্তরকে দৃঢ় করেছিলাম। তখন তারা বলল, ‘আমাদের রব আসমানসমূহ ও যমীনের রব। তিনি ছাড়া কোন ইলাহকে আমরা কখনো ডাকব না। (যদি ডাকি) তাহলে নিশ্চয় আমরা গর্হিত কথা বলব’।

আর আমি তাদের চিত্ত দৃঢ় করেছিলাম; তারা যখন উঠে দাঁড়াল তখন বললঃ আমাদের রাব্ব আকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবীর রাব্ব; আমরা কখনই তাঁর পরিবর্তে অন্য কোন মা‘বূদকে আহবান করবনা; যদি করি তাহলে তা অতিশয় গর্হিত হবে।

আর আমরা তাদের চিত্ত দৃঢ় করে দিলাম; তারা যখন উঠে দাঁড়াল তখন বলল, ‘আমাদের রব। আসমানসমূহ ও যমীনের রব। আমরা কখনই তাঁর পরিবর্তে অন্য ইলাহকে ডাকব না; যদি ডাকি, তবে তা হবে খুবই গর্হিত কথা।

এবং আমি তাদের অন্তর দৃঢ় করে দিলাম; তারা যখন উঠে দাঁড়াল তখন বলল: ‘আমাদের প্রতিপালক! আকাশমণ্ডলী ও পৃথিবীর প্রতিপালক! আমরা কখনই তাঁর পরিবর্তে অন্য কোন ইলাহ্কে আহ্বান করব না; যদি করে বসি, তবে তা অতিশয় গর্হিত হবে।

১৪. আমি তাদের অন্তরগুলোকে ঈমান ও তার উপর অবিচল থাকা এবং নিজেদের এলাকা পরিত্যাগের ধৈর্যের মাধ্যমে শক্তিশালী করেছি যখন তারা কাফির রাষ্ট্রপতির সামনে এক আল্লাহর উপর তাদের ঈমানকে প্রকাশ্যে ঘোষণা দেয়ার জন্য দাঁড়িয়েছে। তারা তার সামনে দাঁড়িয়ে বললো: আমাদের প্রতিপালক যাঁর উপর আমরা ঈমান এনেছি ও তাঁর ইবাদাত করছি তিনিই হলেন আকাশ ও জমিনের প্রতিপালক। আমরা কখনোই তাঁকে ছাড়া অন্য কোন ধারণাকৃত মা’বূদের মিথ্যা ইবাদাত করবো না। আমরা যদি তাঁকে ছাড়া অন্য কারো ইবাদাত করি তাহলে আমরা যেন তাঁর ব্যাপারে সত্য বহির্ভূত অন্যায় ও অবিচারে লিপ্ত হলাম।
