আল-কাহফ: 15

These, our people, have taken besides Him deities. Why do they not bring for [worship of] them a clear evidence? And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allāh a lie?"

"These our people have taken for worship aliha (gods) other than Him (Allah). Why do they not bring for them a clear authority? And who does more wrong than he who invents a lie against Allah.

These, our people, have adopted gods other than Him. Why do they not bring a clear proof in their favor? So, who is more unjust than the one who fabricates a lie against Allah?

(Then they conferred among themselves and said): "These men, our own people, have taken others as gods beside Him: why do they not bring any clear evidence that they indeed are gods? Who can be more unjust than he who foists a lie on Allah?

These, our people, have chosen (other) gods beside Him though they bring no clear warrant (vouchsafed) to them. And who doth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah?

"These our people have taken for worship gods other than Him: why do they not bring forward an authority clear (and convincing) for what they do? Who doth more wrong than such as invent a falsehood against Allah?

আমাদের জাতির এই লোকেরা তাঁর পরিবর্তে বহু ইলাহ গ্রহণ করেছে, তারা তাদের ইলাহদের ব্যাপারে সুস্পষ্ট দলীল প্রমাণ পেশ করে না কেন? তার থেকে বড় যালিম আর কে হতে পারে যে আল্লাহ সম্পর্কে মিথ্যা রচনা করে?

এরা আমাদের কওম, তারা তাঁকে ছাড়া অন্যান্য উপাস্য গ্রহণ করেছে। কেন তারা তাদের ব্যাপারে স্পষ্ট প্রমাণ উপস্থিত করে না? অতএব যে আল্লাহর ব্যাপারে মিথ্যা রটায়, তার চেয়ে বড় যালিম আর কে?

আমাদেরই এই স্বজাতিরা তাঁর পরিবর্তে অনেক মা‘বূদ গ্রহণ করেছে, তারা এই সব মা‘বূদ সম্বন্ধে স্পষ্ট প্রমাণ উপস্থিত করে না কেন? যে আল্লাহ সম্বন্ধে মিথ্যা উদ্ভাবন করে তার চেয়ে অধিক সীমালংঘনকারী আর কে?

‘আমাদের এ স্বজাতিরা, তারা তাঁর পরিবর্তে অনেক ইলাহ গ্রহণ করেছে। এরা এসব ইলাহ সম্বন্ধে স্পষ্ট প্রমাণ উপস্থিত করে না কেন? অতএব যে আল্লাহ্ সম্বন্ধে মিথ্যা উদ্ভাবন করে তাঁর চেয়ে অধিক জালেম আর কে?

আমাদেরই এ স্বজাতিগণ, তাঁর পরিবর্তে অনেক ইলাহ্ গ্রহণ করেছে। এরা এ সমস্ত‎ ইলাহ্ সম্বন্ধে স্পষ্ট প্রমাণ উপস্থিত করে না কেন? যে আল্লাহ সম্বন্ধে মিথ্যা উদ্ভাবন করে তার অপেক্ষা অধিক জালিম আর কে?’

১৫. অতঃপর তারা একে অপরের দিকে তাকিয়ে বললো: এরা হলো আমাদের সম্প্রদায় যারা আল্লাহ ছাড়া অন্য মা’বূদের ইবাদাত করছে। তাদের নিকট ওদের ইবাদাতের ব্যাপারে সুস্পষ্ট কোন প্রমাণ নেই। সেই ব্যক্তির চেয়ে আরো বড় যালিম কে হতে পারে যে আল্লাহর সাথে কোন অংশীদার সাব্যস্ত করে তাঁর উপর মিথ্যা বানিয়ে বলে।
