5 আল-মায়িদা Al-Ma'idah · 120 আয়াত المائدة
আরবি
وَمَا لَنَا لَا نُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَا جَآءَنَا مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَنَطْمَعُ أَن يُدْخِلَنَا رَبُّنَا مَعَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
English Translations
And why should we not believe in Allāh and what has come to us of the truth? And we aspire that our Lord will admit us [to Paradise] with the righteous people."
"And why should we not believe in Allah and in that which has come to us of the truth (Islamic Monotheism)? And we wish that our Lord will admit us (in Paradise on the Day of Resurrection) along with the righteous people (Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Companions)."
What excuse do we have if we do not believe in Allah and in the truth that has come to us, while we hope that our Lord will admit us to the company of the righteous people?”
And why should we not believe in Allah and the Truth which has come down to us when we do fervently desire that our Lord include us among the righteous?'
How should we not believe in Allah and that which hath come unto us of the Truth. And (how should we not) hope that our Lord will bring us in along with righteous folk?
"What cause can we have not to believe in Allah and the truth which has come to us, seeing that we long for our Lord to admit us to the company of the righteous?"
বাংলা অনুবাদ
আমাদের কী হয়েছে যে, আমরা আল্লাহ্তে এবং যে সত্যবিধান আমাদের নিকট এসেছে তাতে ঈমান আনব না, আর আমরা প্রত্যাশা করি যে, আমাদের প্রতিপালক আমাদেরকে সৎকর্মশীলদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করবেন।
আর আমাদের কী হয়েছে যে, আমরা আল্লাহর প্রতি এবং যে সত্য আমাদের কাছে এসেছে তার প্রতি ঈমান আনব না? আর আমরা আশা করব না যে, আমাদের রব আমাদেরকে প্রবেশ করাবেন নেককার সম্প্রদায়ের সাথে’।
আর আমাদের কি এমন ওযর আছে, যে জন্য আমরা ঈমান আনবনা আল্লাহর প্রতি এবং সেই সত্যের প্রতি যা আমাদের কাছে পৌঁছেছে; অথচ এ আশা রাখবো যে, আমাদের রাব্ব নেককারদের সাথে আমাদেরকে শামিল করবেন?
‘আর আল্লাহর প্রতি ও আমাদের কাছে আসা সত্যের প্রতি ঈমান না আনার কী কারণ থাকতে পারে যখন আমরা প্রত্যাশ্যা করি যে, আমাদের রব আমাদেরকে নেককার সম্প্রদায়ের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করবেন?’
আমাদের কী হল যে, আমরা ‘আল্লাহ এবং আমাদের নিকট যে সত্য এসেছে তার ওপর ঈমান আনব না? অথচ আমরা প্রত্যাশা করি, আল্লাহ আমাদেরকে সৎকর্মপরায়ণদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করবেন।’
৮৪. কোন্ কারণটি প্রতিবন্ধকতা সৃষ্টি করলো আমাদের মাঝে এবং আল্লাহ ও তিনি যে সত্য নাযিল করেছেন এবং যা মুহাম্মাদ (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম) নিয়ে এসেছেন তার মাঝে?! অথচ আমরা আশা করি আল্লাহর অনুগত ও তাঁর শাস্তির ব্যাপারে ভীতরা নবীগণ ও তাঁদের অনুসারীদের সাথে জান্নাতে যাবে।
তাফসীর
5:83
‘আর আল্লাহর প্রতি ও আমাদের কাছে আসা সত্যের প্রতি ঈমান না আনার কারণ থাকতে পারে যখন আমরা প্রত্যাশ্যা করি যে, আমাদের রব আমাদেরকে নেককার সম্প্রদায়ের অন্তর্ভুক্ত করবেন?’
