আন-নাহল: 94

And do not take your oaths as [means of] deceit between you, lest a foot slip after it was [once] firm, and you would taste evil [in this world] for what [people] you diverted from the way of Allāh, and you would have [in the Hereafter] a great punishment.

And make not your oaths, a means of deception among yourselves, lest a foot may slip after being firmly planted, and you may have to taste the evil (punishment in this world) of having hindered (men) from the Path of Allah (i.e. Belief in the Oneness of Allah and His Messenger, Muhammad SAW), and yours will be a great torment (i.e. the Fire of Hell in the Hereafter).

Do not make your oaths a means of mischief among yourselves, lest a foot should slip after it is firmly placed, and you taste evil consequences for your having prevented (others) from the path of Allah, and you incur a great punishment.

Do not make your oaths a means of deceiving one another or else your foot may slip after having been firm, and you may suffer evil consequences because of hindering people from the way of Allah. A mighty chastisement awaits you.

Make not your oaths a deceit between you, lest a foot should slip after being firmly planted and ye should taste evil forasmuch as ye debarred (men) from the way of Allah, and yours should be an awful doom.

And take not your oaths, to practise deception between yourselves, with the result that someone's foot may slip after it was firmly planted, and ye may have to taste the evil (consequences) of having hindered (men) from the Path of Allah, and a Mighty Wrath descend on you.

তোমরা তোমাদের নিজেদের শপথগুলোকে পরস্পর ধোঁকা-প্রবঞ্চনার উপায় হিসেবে গ্রহণ করো না, তা করলে দৃঢ়ভাবে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হওয়ার পর পা আবার পিছলে যাবে, আর আল্লাহর পথে বাধা দেয়ার কারণে তোমরা মন্দ পরিণতি ভোগ করবে, আর তোমাদের জন্য থাকবে কঠিন শাস্তি।

আর তোমরা তোমাদের অঙ্গীকারগুলোকে তোমাদের প্রতারণা হিসেবে গ্রহণ করো না। তাহলে পা দৃঢ় হওয়ার পর পিছলে যাবে এবং তোমরা আযাব আস্বাদন করবে। কারণ তোমরা আল্লাহর রাস্তায় বাধা দিয়েছ। আর তোমাদের জন্য রয়েছে মহা আযাব।

পরস্পর প্রবঞ্চনা করার জন্য তোমরা তোমাদের শপথকে ব্যবহার করনা; তাহলে পা স্থির হওয়ার পর পিছলে যাবে এবং আল্লাহর পথে বাধা দেয়ার কারণে তোমরা শাস্তির আস্বাদ গ্রহণ করবে। তোমাদের জন্য রয়েছে কঠোর শাস্তি।

আর পরস্পর প্রবঞ্চনা করার জন্য তোমরা তোমাদের শপথকে ব্যবহার করো না; করলে, পা স্থির হওয়ার পর পিছলে যাবে এবং আল্লাহ্‌র পথে বাধা দেয়ার কারণে তোমরা শাস্তির আস্বাদ গ্রহণ করবে; আর তোমাদের জন্য রয়েছে মহাশাস্তি।

পরস্পর প্রবঞ্চনা করার জন্য তোমরা তোমাদের শপথকে ব্যবহার কর না; করলে পা স্থির হবার পর পিছলিয়ে যাবে এবং আল্লাহ তা‘আলার পথে বাধা দেয়ার কারণে তোমরা শাস্তি‎র আস্বাদ গ্রহণ করবে; এবং জেনে রেখ, তোমাদের জন্য রয়েছে মহাশাস্তি‎।

৯৪. তোমরা নিজেদের শপথগুলোকে ধোঁকার মাধ্যম বানিয়ে নিয়ো না। যেগুলোর মাধ্যমে তোমরা একে অপরকে ধোঁকা দিবে। আর সে ক্ষেত্রে তোমরা নিজেদের কুপ্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করে যখন চাইবে সেটিকে পুরা করবে আর যখন চাইবে সেগুলোকে ভঙ্গ করবে। যদি তোমরা এমন করো তাহলে সঠিক পথের উপর দৃঢ় থাকার পর তোমাদের পদস্খলন ঘটবে। আর আল্লাহর পথ থেকে নিজেরা পথভ্রষ্ট ও অন্যদেরকে পথভ্রষ্ট করার দরুন শাস্তি আস্বাদন করবে। অনুরূপভাবে তোমাদের জন্য রয়েছে দ্বিগুণ শাস্তি।
