মারইয়াম: 42

[Mention] when he said to his father, "O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will not benefit you at all?

When he said to his father: "O my father! Why do you worship that which hears not, sees not and cannot avail you in anything?

when he said to his father, “My dear father, why do you worship something that does neither hear nor see, nor help you in any way?

(And remind people) when he said to his father: "Father! Why do you worship that which neither sees nor hears, and which can be of no avail to you?

When he said unto his father: O my father! Why worshippest thou that which heareth not nor seeth, nor can in aught avail thee?

Behold, he said to his father: "O my father! why worship that which heareth not and seeth not, and can profit thee nothing?

যখন সে তার পিতাকে বলেছিল, ‘হে আমার পিতা! আপনি কেন এমন জিনিসের ‘ইবাদাত করেন যা শুনে না, দেখে না, আর আপনার কোন কাজেই আসে না?

যখন সে তার পিতাকে বলল, ‘হে আমার পিতা, তুমি কেন তার ইবাদাত কর যে না শুনতে পায়, না দেখতে পায় এবং না তোমার কোন উপকারে আসতে পারে’?

যখন সে তার পিতাকে বললঃ হে আমার পিতা! যে শোনেনা, দেখেনা এবং তোমার কোন কাজে আসেনা তুমি তার ইবাদাত কর কেন?

যখন তিনি তার পিতাকে বললেন, ‘হে আমার পিতা! আপনি তার ইবাদাত করেন কেন যে শুনা না, দেখে না এবং আপনার কোনো কাজেই আসে না?’

যখন সে তার পিতাকে বলেছিল: হে আমার পিতা! আপনি কেন এমন বস্তুর ইবাদত করেন যা শোনে না, দেখে না আর আপনার কোন কাজে আসে না।

৪২. তিনি তার পিতা আযরকে বললেন: হে আমার পিতা! কেন আপনি আল্লাহকে বাদ দিয়ে মূর্তিপূজা করেন? অথচ আপনি তাকে ডাকলে সে আপনার ডাক শুনে না। আপনি তার পূজা করলে সে আপনার পূজা দেখতে পায় না। না সে আপনার কোন ক্ষতি দূর করতে পারে। না সে আপনার কোন উপকার করতে পারে?!
