ইয়া-সীন: 66

And if We willed, We could have obliterated their eyes, and they would race to [find] the path, and how could they see?

And if it had been Our Will, We would surely have wiped out (blinded) their eyes, so that they would struggle for the Path, how then would they see?

If We so will, We would wipe out their eyes (right here in this world), and they would be racing towards the way, but how would they see?

If We so willed, We would have put out their eyes, then they would rush to see the Way, but how would they be able to see?

And had We willed, We verily could have quenched their eyesight so that they should struggle for the way. Then how could they have seen?

If it had been our Will, We could surely have blotted out their eyes; then should they have run about groping for the Path, but how could they have seen?

আমি ইচ্ছে করলে তাদের দৃষ্টিশক্তি বিলুপ্ত করে দিতাম। তখন তারা পথের দিকে দৌঁড়ে দেখতে চাইলে কীভাবে তারা দেখতে পেত?

আর যদি আমি চাইতাম তবে তাদের চোখসমূহ অন্ধ করে দিতাম। তখন এরা পথের অন্বেষণে দৌড়ালে কী করে দেখতে পেত?

আমি ইচ্ছা করলে এদের চক্ষুগুলিকে লোপ করে দিতে পারতাম, তখন এরা পথ চলতে চাইলে কি করে দেখতে পেত?

আর আমরা ইচ্ছে করলে অবশ্যই এদের চোখগুলোকে লোপ করে দিতাম, তখন এরা পথ অন্বেষণে দৌড়ালে কি করে দেখতে পেত!

আর আমি ইচ্ছা করলে তাদেরকে দৃষ্টিহীন করে দিতাম, অতঃপর তারা পথ চলতে চাইলে কেমন করে দেখতে পেত?

৬৬. আমি তাদের দৃষ্টি শক্তি কেড়ে নিতে চাইলেতা পারতাম। ফলে তারা দেখতে পেতনা। তখন তারা জান্নাতে পৌঁছার লক্ষ্যে পুলসিরাতের প্রতি প্রতিযোগিতামূলকভাবে অগ্রসর হত। কিন্তু তা হত দূরের কথা। কেননা, তাদের চক্ষু শেষ হয়ে গিয়েছে।
