আল-আনআম: 35

And if their evasion is difficult for you, then if you are able to seek a tunnel into the earth or a stairway into the sky to bring them a sign, [then do so]. But if Allāh had willed, He would have united them upon guidance. So never be of the ignorant.

If their aversion (from you, O Muhammad SAW and from that with which you have been sent) is hard on you, (and you cannot be patient from their harm to you), then if you were able to seek a tunnel in the ground or a ladder to the sky, so that you may bring them a sign (and you cannot do it, so be patient). And had Allah willed, He could have gathered them together (all) unto true guidance, so be not you one of those who are Al-Jahilun (the ignorant).

If their aversion is too hard on you, then seek, if you can, a tunnel into the earth or a ladder unto the sky in order to bring them a sign. Had Allah so willed, He would have brought all of them to the right path. So, never be one of the ignorant.

Nevertheless, if their turning away grieves you, then seek - if you can - either a way down into the earth or a ladder to the heavens, and try to bring to them some sign. Had Allah so willed, He would have gathered them all to the true guidance. Do not, then, be among the ignorant.

And if their aversion is grievous unto thee, then, if thou canst, seek a way down into the earth or a ladder unto the sky that thou mayst bring unto them a portent (to convince them all)! - If Allah willed, He could have brought them all together to the guidance - So be not thou among the foolish ones.

If their spurning is hard on thy mind, yet if thou wert able to seek a tunnel in the ground or a ladder to the skies and bring them a sign,- (what good?). If it were Allah's will, He could gather them together unto true guidance: so be not thou amongst those who are swayed by ignorance (and impatience)!

তাদের উপেক্ষা যদি তোমার কাছে কঠিন বলে মনে হয় তাহলে পারলে ভূগর্ভে সুড়ঙ্গের কিংবা আকাশে আরোহণের জন্য সিঁড়ির সন্ধান কর অত:পর তাদের কাছে (নতুন) নিদর্শন হাজির কর। আল্লাহ ইচ্ছে করলে তাদের সকলকে সৎপথে একত্র করতেন। কাজেই তুমি মূর্খদের মত হয়ো না।

আর যদি তাদের উপেক্ষা তোমার উপর কঠিন মনে হয়, তাহলে যদি তুমি পার যমীনে কোন সুড়ঙ্গ অথবা আসমানে কোন সিঁড়ি অনুসন্ধান করতে, অতঃপর তাদের কাছে কোন নিদর্শন নিয়ে আসতে (তবে কর)। যদি আল্লাহ চাইতেন তিনি অবশ্যই তাদেরকে হিদায়াতের উপর একত্র করতেন। সুতরাং তুমি কখনো মূর্খদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ো না।

আর যদি তাদের অনাগ্রহ ও উপেক্ষা সহ্য করা তোমার কাছে কঠিন হয়ে পড়ে তাহলে ক্ষমতা থাকলে মাটির কোন সুড়ঙ্গ পথ অনুসন্ধান কর অথবা আকাশে সিঁড়ি লাগিয়ে দাও; অতঃপর তাদের কাছে কোন নিদর্শন নিয়ে এসো, আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে তাদের সকলকে হিদায়াতের উপর সমবেত করতেন। সুতরাং তুমি অবুঝদের মত হয়োনা।

আর যদি তাদের উপেক্ষা আপনার কাছে কষ্টকর হয় তবে পারলে ভূগর্ভে সুড়ঙ্গ বা আকাশে সিঁড়ি খোঁজ করুন এবং তাদের কাছে কোনো নিদর্শন নিয়ে আসুন। আর আল্লাহ্‌ ইচ্ছে করলে তাদের সবাইকে অবশ্যই সৎপথে একত্র করতেন। কাজেই আপনি মূর্খদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবেন না।

যদি তাদের মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়া তোমার নিকট কষ্টকর হয় তবে পারলে ভূগর্ভে সুড়ঙ্গ অথবা আকাশে সোপান অন্বেষণ কর এবং তাদের নিকট কোন নিদর্শন আন। আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে তাদের সকলকে অবশ্যই সৎ পথে একত্র করতেন। সুতরাং তুমি মুর্খদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হয়ো না।

৩৫. হে রাসূল! আপনার কাছে কাফিরদের মিথ্যারোপ এবং আপনার আনীত সত্যের প্রতি তাদের উপেক্ষা কঠিন মনে হলে আপনি জমিনের সুড়ঙ্গ খুঁজে অথবা আকাশে সিঁড়ি লাগিয়ে তাদের নিকট এমন অকাট্য দলীল ও প্রমাণ নিয়ে আসতে পারেন যা দিয়ে আমি আপনাকে ইতিপূর্বে সাহায্য করিনি তাহলে তাই করুন। আল্লাহ তা‘আলা চাইলে আপনার আনীত হিদায়েতের উপর তাদেরকে একত্রিত করতে পারতেন। কিন্তু তিনি বিশেষ হিকমতের কারণে তা চান নি। তাই আপনি এ ব্যাপারে জাহিলদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবেন না। যার ফলে আপনি তাদের ঈমান না আনার দরুন আপসোস করে নিজের জীবনকে শেষ করে দিবেন।
