When they entered upon David and he was alarmed by them? They said, "Fear not. [We are] two adversaries, one of whom has wronged the other, so judge between us with truth and do not exceed [it] and guide us to the sound path.

When they entered in upon Dawud (David), he was terrified of them, they said: "Fear not! (We are) two litigants, one of whom has wronged the other, therefore judge between us with truth, and treat us not with injustice, and guide us to the Right Way.

When they entered upon Dawūd, and he was scared of them, they said, “Be not scared. We are two litigants; one of us has wronged the other, so decide between us with truth, and do not cross the limits, and guide us to the right path.

As they came upon David � and he was frightened of them � they said: “Be not afraid. We are just two litigants: one of us has committed excess against the other. So judge rightly between us, and be not unjust; and guide us to the Right Way.

How they burst in upon David, and he was afraid of them. They said: Be not afraid! (We are) two litigants, one of whom hath wronged the other, therefor judge aright between us; be not unjust; and show us the fair way.

When they entered the presence of David, and he was terrified of them, they said: "Fear not: we are two disputants, one of whom has wronged the other: Decide now between us with truth, and treat us not with injustice, but guide us to the even Path..

যখন তারা দাঊদের কাছে প্রবেশ করল, তাদেরকে দেখে সে ভয় পেয়ে গেল। তারা বলল- ভয় করবেন না, আমরা বিবাদের দু’পক্ষ, আমাদের একে অপরের উপর যুলম করেছে, কাজেই আমাদের মাঝে ন্যায্য বিচার করে দিন, অবিচার করবেন না, আর আমাদেরকে সোজা পথের নির্দেশ দিন।

যখন তারা দাঊদের কাছে প্রবেশ করল, তখন সে তাদের ভয় পেয়ে গেল। তারা বলল ‘আপনি ভয় করবেন না, আমরা বিবদমান দু’পক্ষ। আমাদের একে অন্যের উপর সীমালঙ্ঘন করেছে। অতএব আপনি আমাদের মধ্যে ন্যায়বিচার করুন, অবিচার করবেন না। আর আমাদেরকে সরল পথের নির্দেশনা দিন’।

এবং দাউদের নিকট পৌঁছল, তখন তাদের কারণে সে ভীত হয়ে পড়ল। তারা বললঃ ভীত হবেননা, আমরা দুই বিবাদমান পক্ষ - আমরা একে অপরের উপর যুল্‌ম করেছি; অতএব আমাদের মধ্যে ন্যায় বিচার করুন, অবিচার করবেননা এবং আমাদেরকে সঠিক পথ নির্দেশ করুন।

যখন তারা দাউদের কাছে প্ৰবেশ করল, তখন তাদের কারণে তিনি ভীত হয়ে পড়লেন। তারা বলল, 'ভীত হবেন না, আমরা দুই বিবাদমান পক্ষ---আমাদের একে অন্যের উপর সীমালঙ্ঘন করেছে; অতএব আপনি আমাদের মধ্যে ন্যায় বিচার করুন; অবিচার করবেন না এবং আমাদেরকে সঠিক পথ প্রদর্শন করুন।

যখন তারা দাঊদের কাছে পৌঁছল, তখন তিনি তাদেরকে দেখে ভীত হয়ে পড়লেন। তারা বলল : আপনি ভয় পাবেন না। (আমরা) বিবদমান দু‘টি পক্ষ, আমরা একে অপরের প্রতি বাড়াবাড়ি করেছি। অতএব আমাদের মধ্যে ন্যায়ভাবে বিচার করে দিন, অবিচার করবেন না এবং আমাদেরকে সঠিক পথ বলে দিন।

২২. যখন তারা উভয়ে আকস্মিকভাবে তাঁর নিকট প্রবেশ করে তখন তিনি তাঁর নিকট এই আকস্মিক ও অস্বাভাবিকভাবে প্রবেশের ফলে ভীত হন। যখন তারা বুঝতে পারলো যে, তিনি ভয় পেয়েছেন তখন তারা তাঁকে বললো: আপনি ভয় পাবেন না। আসলে আমরা পরস্পরে বিবাদের কারণে একে অপরের উপর অত্যাচার করেছি। তাই আপনি আমাদের মাঝে ইনসাফ ভিত্তিক ফায়সালা করুন। বিচারে আমাদের উপর জুলুম না করে আমাদেরকে সরল পথ দেখান।
