إِذْ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ بِٱلْعَشِىِّ ٱلصَّـٰفِنَـٰتُ ٱلْجِيَادُ
English Translations
[Mention] when there were exhibited before him in the afternoon the poised [standing] racehorses.
When there were displayed before him, in the afternoon, well trained horses of the highest breed [for Jihad (holy fighting in Allah's Cause)].
(Worth remembering is the incident) when the swift horses of high breeding were presented before him in the evening.
And when one evening well-trained and running horses of noble breed were brought to him
When there were shown to him at eventide lightfooted coursers
Behold, there were brought before him, at eventide coursers of the highest breeding, and swift of foot;
বাংলা অনুবাদ
যখন তার সামনে সন্ধ্যাকালে উৎকৃষ্ট জাতের দ্রুতগামী অশ্ব উপস্থিত করা হল,
যখন তার সামনে সন্ধ্যাবেলায় পেশ করা হল দ্রুতগামী উৎকৃষ্ট ঘোড়াসমূহ।
যখন অপরাহ্নে তার সামনে ধাবমান উৎকৃষ্ট অশ্বরাজিকে উপস্থিত করা হল –
যখন বিকেলে তার সামনে দ্রুতগামী উৎকৃষ্ট অশ্বরাজিকে পেশ করা হল,
যখন সন্ধ্যার সময় তার সামনে পেশ করা হল উৎকৃষ্ট ঘোড়ার পাল।
৩১. সে সময়ের কথা স্মরণ করুন যখন আসরের সময়ে তাঁর নিকট উৎকৃষ্ট ও দ্রুতগামী ঘোড়া পেশ করা হলো। যেগুলো তিন পায়ের উপর ভর করে এক পা তুলে রাখে। সূর্যাস্ত পর্যন্ত তাঁর সামনে এগুলোকে পেশ করা হতে থাকে।
তাফসীর
38:30
যখন বিকেলে তার সামনে দ্রুতগামী উৎকৃষ্ট অশ্বরাজিকে [১] পেশ করা হল,
[১] মূলে বলা হয়েছে الصّٰافِنٰات এর অর্থ হচ্ছে এমনসব ঘোড়া যেগুলো দাঁড়িয়ে থাকার সময় অত্যন্ত শান্তভাবে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকে, লাফালাফি দাপাদাপি করে না এবং যখন দৌড়ায় অত্যন্ত দ্রুতবেগে দৌড়ায়। [দেখুন, আত-তাফসীরুস সহীহ, বাগভী]
