And he said, "Indeed, I gave preference to the love of good [things] over the remembrance of my Lord until it [i.e., the sun] disappeared into the curtain [of darkness]."

And he said: "Alas! I did love the good (these horses) instead of remembering my Lord (in my 'Asr prayer)" till the time was over, and (the sun) had hidden in the veil (of night).

He said, “I held the love of the good things (i.e. these horses) because of the remembrance of my Lord.” until it went behind the veil.

he said: “Lo! I have come to love this wealth on account of the remembrance of my Lord.” And when the horses disappeared,

And he said: Lo! I have preferred the good things (of the world) to the remembrance of my Lord; till they were taken out of sight behind the curtain.

And he said, "Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,"- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night):

তখন সে বলল- আমি আমার প্রতিপালকের স্মরণ হতে ধন-সম্পদকে বেশি ভালবেসে ফেলেছি, এমনকি সূর্য (রাতের) পর্দায় লুকিয়ে গেছে।

তখন সে বলল, ‘আমি তো আমার রবের স্মরণ থেকে বিমুখ হয়ে ঐশ্বর্যের প্রেমে মগ্ন হয়ে পড়েছি, এদিকে সূর্য পর্দার আড়ালে চলে গেছে।* * অর্থাৎ সূর্য ডুবে গেছে।

তখন সে বললঃ আমিতো আমার রবের স্মরণ হতে বিমুখ হয়ে ঐশ্বর্য প্রীতিতে মগ্ন হয়ে পড়েছি, এদিকে সূর্য অস্তমিত হয়ে গেছে।

তখন তিনি বললেন, 'আমি তো আমার রবের স্মরণ হতে বিমুখ হয়ে ঐশ্বৰ্য প্রীতিতে মগ্ন হয়ে পড়েছি, এদিকে সূর্য পর্দার আড়ালে চলে গেছে;

তখন সে বলল : আমি তো আমার প্রতিপালকের স্মরণ থেকে উদাসীন হয়ে সম্পদের মোহে মশগুল হয়ে পড়েছি, এমনকি সূর্য পর্দার আড়ালে চলে গেছে।

৩২. তখন সুলাইমান (আলাইহিস-সালাম) বললেন: আমি সম্পদের মোহকে -যার মধ্যে রয়েছে এসব ঘোড়া- আমার রবের স্মরণের উপর প্রাধান্য দিতে গিয়ে সূর্যাস্ত পর্যন্ত আসরের নামাযকে পিছিয়ে দিয়েছি।
