আয-যুখরুফ: 38

Until, when he comes to Us [at Judgement], he says [to his companion], "How I wish there was between me and you the distance between the east and west; and what a wretched companion."

Till, when (such a one) comes to Us, he says [to his Qarin (Satan / devil companion)] "Would that between me and you were the distance of the two easts (or the east and west)" a worst (type of) companion (indeed)!

until when such a person will come to us, he will say (to the devil), “Would that there were the distance of East and West between me and you, because you were the worst companion.”

But when he comes to Us, he will say (to his satan): “Would that there had been between me and you the distance as between the East and the West. How evil a companion you were!”

Till, when he cometh unto Us, he saith (unto his comrade): Ah, would that between me and thee there were the distance of the two horizons - an evil comrade!

At length, when (such a one) comes to Us, he says (to his evil companion): "Would that between me and thee were the distance of East and West!" Ah! evil is the companion (indeed)!

অবশেষে সে যখন আমার কাছে আসবে, তখন শয়ত্বানকে বলবে, হায়! আমার ও তোমার মাঝে যদি পূর্ব ও পশ্চিমের ব্যবধান থাকত! কতই না নিকৃষ্ট সহচর সে!

অবশেষে যখন সে আমার নিকট আসবে তখন সে [তার শয়তান সংগীকে উদ্দেশ্য করে] বলবে, ‘হায়, আমার ও তোমার মধ্যে যদি পূর্ব-পশ্চিমের ব্যবধান থাকত’ সুতরাং কতইনা নিকৃষ্ট সে সঙ্গী!

অবশেষে যখন সে আমার নিকট উপস্থিত হবে তখন সে শাইতানকে বলবেঃ হায়! আমার ও তোমার মধ্যে যদি পূর্ব ও পশ্চিমের ব্যবধান থাকত! কত নিকৃষ্ট সহচর সে!

অবশেষে যখন সে আমাদের নিকট আসবে, তখন সে শয়তানকে বলবে, হায়! আমার ও তোমার মধ্যে যদি পূর্ব ও পশ্চিমের ব্যবধান থাকত!’ সুতরাং এ সহচর কতই না নিকৃষ্ট !

অবশেষে যখন সে আমার নিকট উপস্থিত হবে, তখন সে (শয়তানকে) বলবে : হায়! আমার ও তোমার মধ্যে যদি পূর্ব ও পশ্চিমের ব্যবধান থাকত! কতই না নিকৃষ্ট সহচর সে!

৩৮. পরিশেষে আল্লাহর স্মরণ বিমুখ ব্যক্তি কিয়ামত দিবসে আমার নিকট এসে আক্ষেপ করে বলবে: হে সাথী! হায়, যদি আমার ও তোমার মাঝে প্রাচ্য ও প্রতীচ্যের ব্যবধান থাকতো! কতোই না নিকৃষ্ট এই সঙ্গী!
