আয-যুখরুফ: 20

And they said, "If the Most Merciful had willed, we would not have worshipped them." They have of that no knowledge. They are not but misjudging.

And they said: "If it had been the Will of the Most Beneficent (Allah), we should not have worshipped them (false deities)." They have no knowledge whatsoever of that. They do nothing but lie!

They say, “Had the RaHmān so willed, we would not have worshipped them.” They have no knowledge of that. They do nothing but make conjectures.

They say: “Had the Merciful One so willed, we would never have worshipped these deities.” But they have no knowledge of the matter and are simply conjecturing.

And they say: If the Beneficent One had (so) willed, we should not have worshipped them. They have no knowledge whatsoever of that. They do but guess.

("Ah!") they say, "If it had been the will of (Allah) Most Gracious, we should not have worshipped such (deities)!" Of that they have no knowledge! they do nothing but lie!

তারা আরো বলে- দয়াময় আল্লাহ ইচ্ছে করলে আমরা ওদের পূঁজা করতাম না। এ বিষয়ে তাদের কোন জ্ঞানই নেই। তারা শুধু আন্দাজ অনুমানে কথা বলে।

তারা আর বলে, ‘পরম করুণাময় আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে আমরা এদের ইবাদাত করতাম না’, এ বিষয়ে তাদের কোন জ্ঞান নেই। তারা শুধু মনগড়া কথা বলছে।

তারা বলেঃ দয়াময় আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে আমরা এদের পূজা করতামনা। এ বিষয়ে তাদের কোন জ্ঞান নেই; তারাতো শুধু মিথ্যাই বলছে।

তারা আরও বলে, ‘রহমান ইচ্ছে করলে আমরা এদের ইবাদাত করতাম না।’ এ বিষয়ে তাদের কোনো জ্ঞান নেই; তারা তো শুধু মনগড়া কথা বলছে।

তারা বলে, দয়াময় আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে আমরা এদের পূজা করতাম না। এ বিষয়ে তাদের কোন জ্ঞান নেই; তারা তো শুধু অনুমানভিত্তিক কথা বলে।

২০. তারা ভাগ্য দিয়ে প্রমাণ দিতে গিয়ে বলে: যদি আল্লাহ চাইতেন, আমরা ফিরিশতাদের ইবাদাত করবো না তাহলে আমরা তাদের ইবাদাত করতাম না। তাই তাঁর এই চাওয়া তাঁর সন্তুষ্টির পরিচায়ক। মূলতঃ তাদের এই উক্তির পেছনে তাদের কোনরূপ জ্ঞান নেই। এটি তাদের একটি মিথ্যাচার মাত্র।
