আয-যুখরুফ: 48

And We showed them not a sign except that it was greater than its sister, and We seized them with affliction that perhaps they might return [to faith].

And not an Ayah (sign, etc.) We showed them but it was greater than its fellow, and We seized them with torment, in order that they might turn [from their polytheism to Allah's Religion (Islamic Monotheism)].

And We did not show them a sign, but it used to be greater than the one that preceded it. And We seized them with punishment, so that they may return.

Every Sign that We showed them was greater than its predecessor; and then We seized them with Our chastisement so that they may return (to the Right Way).

And every token that We showed them was greater than its sister (token), and We grasped them with the torment, that haply they might turn again.

We showed them Sign after Sign, each greater than its fellow, and We seized them with Punishment, in order that they might turn (to Us).

আমি তাদেরকে যে নিদর্শনই দেখাতাম তা হত পূর্ববর্তী নিদর্শন থেকে বড়। আমি তাদেরকে শাস্তি দ্বারা পাকড়াও করলাম যাতে তারা (আমার পথে) ফিরে আসে।

আমি তাদের যে নিদর্শনই দেখাইনা কেন তা ছিল তার অনুরূপ নিদর্শন অপেক্ষা শ্রেষ্ঠতর। আর আমি তাদেরকে আযাবের মাধ্যমে পাকড়াও করলাম, যাতে তারা ফিরে আসে।

আমি তাদেরকে এমন কোন নিদর্শন দেখাইনি যা ওর অনুরূপ নিদর্শন অপেক্ষা শ্রেষ্ঠ নয়। আমি তাদেরকে শাস্তি দিলাম যাতে তারা প্রত্যাবর্তন করে।

আর আমরা তাদেরকে যে নিদর্শনই দেখিয়েছি তা ছিল তার অনুরূপ নিদর্শনের চেয়ে শ্রেষ্ঠতর। আর আমরা তাদেরকে শাস্তি দিয়ে পাকড়াও করলাম যাতে তারা ফিরে আসে।

আমি তাদেরকে এমন কোন নিদর্শন দেখাইনি যা তার অনুরূপ নিদর্র্শন অপেক্ষা শ্রেষ্ঠ নয়। আমি তাদেরকে শাস্তি দিলাম যাতে তারা প্রত্যাবর্তন করে।

৪৮. আমি ফির‘আউন ও তার গোত্রের নেতাদেরকে মূসা (আলাইহিস-সালাম) কর্তৃক আনিত বিষয়ের সত্যতার প্রমাণ স্বরূপ যে দলীলই দেখিয়ে থাকি না কেন সেটি তার পূর্বের দলীল অপেক্ষা বড়। আমি তাদেরকে দুনিয়ার শাস্তি দিয়ে পাকড়াও করলাম। যাতে করে তারা কুফরী থেকে ফিরে আসে। কিন্তু তাতে কোন উপকার হলো না।
