আল-আম্বিয়া: 46

And if [as much as] a whiff of the punishment of your Lord should touch them, they would surely say, "O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers."

And if a breath (minor calamity) of the Torment of your Lord touches them, they will surely cry: "Woe unto us! Indeed we have been Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.).

If a whiff of your Lord’s torment were to touch them, they would certainly say, “Alas to us! We were wrongdoers indeed.”

Were only the slightest whiff from your Lord's punishment to touch them, they would cry out: "Woe to us; we were indeed wrong-doers."

And if a breath of thy Lord's punishment were to touch them, they assuredly would say: Alas for us! Lo! we were wrong-doers.

If but a breath of the Wrath of thy Lord do touch them, they will then say, "Woe to us! we did wrong indeed!"

তোমার প্রতিপালকের গযবের একটা নিঃশ্বাস যদি তাদের উপর পতিত হয় তবে তারা অবশ্য অবশ্যই বলে উঠবে, ‘হায় আমাদের দুর্ভাগ্য! আমরাই তো ছিলাম অপরাধী।’

আর তোমার রবের আযাবের সামান্য কিছুও যদি তাদেরকে স্পর্শ করে, তবে তারা অবশ্যই বলে উঠবে-‘হায়, দুর্ভোগ আমাদের! আমরাতো অবশ্যই যালিম ছিলাম’।

তোমার রবের শাস্তির কিছুমাত্রও তাদেরকে স্পর্শ করলে তারা নিশ্চয়ই বলে উঠবেঃ হায়! দুর্ভোগ আমাদের, আমরাতো ছিলাম যালিম!

আর আপনার রব এর শাস্তির কিছুমাত্রও তাদেরকে স্পর্শ করলে তারা অবশ্যই বলে উঠবে, ‘হায় দুর্ভোগ আমাদের, আমরা তো ছিলাম যালেম।

তোমার প্রতিপালকের শাস্তি‎র কিছুমাত্রও তাদেরকে স্পর্শ করলে তারা নিশ্চয় বলে উঠবে, ‘হায়, দুর্ভোগ আমাদের, আমরা তো ছিলাম জালিম!’

৪৬. হে রাসূল! যদি দ্রুত আযাব কামনাকারীদেরকে তোমার প্রতিপালকের আংশিক আযাব স্পর্শ করে তখন তারা অবশ্যই বলবে: হায় আমাদের ধ্বংস ও ক্ষতিগ্রস্ততা! আমরা আল্লাহর সাথে শিরক ও মুহাম্মাদ (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম) এর আনীত বিধানের প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করে নিজেদের উপর যুলুম করেছি।
