আল-আম্বিয়া: 39

If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not avert the Fire from their faces or from their backs and they will not be aided...

If only those who disbelieved knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the Fire from their faces, nor from their backs; and they will not be helped.

Only if the disbelievers were to know the time when they will not (be able to) keep off the fire from their faces or from their backs, nor will they be helped.

If only the unbelievers knew of the Hour when they shall not be able to keep off the Fire from their faces, nor from their backs; nor shall they be helped.

If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not be able to drive off the fire from their faces and from their backs, and they will not be helped!

If only the Unbelievers knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the fire from their faces, nor yet from their backs, and (when) no help can reach them!

অবিশ্বাসীরা যদি (সে সময়ের কথা) জানত যখন তারা তাদের মুখ হতে অগ্নি প্রতিরোধ করতে পারবে না, আর তাদের পিঠ থেকেও না, আর তারা সাহায্যপ্রাপ্তও হবে না।

হায়, কাফিররা যদি সে সময়ের কথা জানত, যখন তারা তাদের সামনে ও পেছন থেকে আগুন ফিরাতে পারবে না। আর তাদেরকে সাহায্যও করা হবে না;

হায়! যদি কাফিরেরা সেই সময়ের কথা জানতো যখন তারা তাদের সম্মুখ ও পশ্চাত হতে আগুন প্রতিরোধ করতে পারবেনা এবং তাদেরকে সাহায্য করাও হবেনা।

যদি কাফেররা সে সময়ের কথা জানত, যখন তারা তাদের চেহারা ও পিঠ থেকে আগুন প্রতিরোধ করতে পারবে না এবং তাদেরকে সাহায্য করাও হবে না (তাহলে তারা সে শাস্তিকে তাড়াতাড়ি চাইত না)।

যদি কাফিররা সে সময়ের কথা জানত যখন তারা তাদের সম্মুখ ও পশ্চাৎ হতে অগ্নি প্রতিরোধ করতে পারবে না এবং তাদেরকে সাহায্য করাও হবে না!

৩৯. যদি পুনরুত্থান অস্বীকারকারী এ কাফিররা সে সময়ের কথা জানতো যখন তারা নিজেদের চেহারা ও পিঠ থেকে আগুনকে সরাতে পারবে না এবং আযাব প্রতিরোধে তাদেরকে সাহায্য করার মতো কোন সাহায্যকারীও পাবে না। তারা যদি এ ব্যাপারটি দৃঢ়ভাবে বিশ্বাস করতো তাহলে তারা দ্রুত আযাব কামনা করতো না।
