يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَّبِعُونَ ٱلدَّاعِىَ لَا عِوَجَ لَهُۥ ۖ وَخَشَعَتِ ٱلْأَصْوَاتُ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ فَلَا تَسْمَعُ إِلَّا هَمْسًا
English Translations
That Day, they [i.e., everyone] will follow [the call of] the Caller [with] no deviation therefrom, and [all] voices will be stilled before the Most Merciful, so you will not hear except a whisper [of footsteps].
On that Day mankind will follow strictly (the voice of) Allah's caller, no crookedness (that is without going to the right or left of that voice) will they show him (Allah's caller). And all voices will be humbled for the Most Beneficent (Allah), and nothing shall you hear but the low voice of their footsteps.
That day they will follow the caller who will find no deviation (from anyone). And the voices will turn low in awe for the RaHmān (All-Merciful, Allah). So, you will hear not but whispering.
On that Day people shall follow straight on to the call of the summoner, no one daring to show any haughtiness. Their voices shall be hushed before the Most Compassionate Lord, so that you will hear nothing but a whispering murmur.
On that day they follow the summoner who deceiveth not, and voices are hushed for the Beneficent, and thou hearest but a faint murmur.
On that Day will they follow the Caller (straight): no crookedness (can they show) him: all sounds shall humble themselves in the Presence of (Allah) Most Gracious: nothing shalt thou hear but the tramp of their feet (as they march).
বাংলা অনুবাদ
সেদিন তারা (সোজাসুজি) আহবানকারীর অনুসরণ করবে যার কথা এদিক ওদিক হবে না। দয়াময়ের সম্মুখে সেদিন যাবতীয় আওয়াজ স্তব্ধ হয়ে যাবে (এমনভাবে) যে মৃদু গুঞ্জন ছাড়া তুমি কিছুই শুনবে না।
সেদিন তারা আহবানকারীর (ফেরেশতার) অনুসরণ করবে। এর কোন এদিক সেদিক হবে না এবং পরম করুণাময়ের সামনে সকল আওয়াজ নিচু হয়ে যাবে। তাই মৃদু আওয়াজ ছাড়া তুমি কিছুই শুনতে পাবে না।
সেদিন তারা আহবানকারীর অনুসরণ করবে, এ ব্যাপারে এদিক ওদিক করতে পারবেনা; দয়াময়ের সামনে সব শব্দ স্তদ্ধ হয়ে যাবে; সুতরাং মৃদু পদধ্বনি ছাড়া তুমি কিছুই শুনতে পাবেনা।
সেদিন তারা আহ্বানকারীর অনুসরণ করবে, এ ব্যাপারে এদিক ওদিক করতে পারবে না। আর দয়াময়ের সামনে সমস্ত শব্দ স্তব্ধ হয়ে জাবে; কাজেই মৃদু ধ্বনি ছাড়া আপনি কিছুই শুনবেন না।
সেদিন তারা আহ্বানকারীর অনুসরণ করবে, এ ব্যাপারে এদিক-ওদিক করতে পারবে না। দয়াময়ের সম্মুখে সকল শব্দ স্তব্ধ হয়ে যাবে; সুতরাং মৃদু পদধ্বনি ব্যতীত তুমি কিছুই শুনবে না।
১০৮. সে দিন মানুষ হাশরের মাঠের দিকে আহ্বানকারীর ডাকের অনুসরণ করবে। তার অনুসরণ ছাড়া তাদের আর কোন গতি থাকবে না। ভয়ে মহামহিম প্রভুর সামনে সকল আওয়াজই স্তব্ধ হয়ে যাবে। সে দিন শুধু গোপন ফিসফিস আওয়াজ ছাড়া আপনি আর কিছুই শুনতে পাবেন না।

সেদিন তারা আহ্বানকারীর অনুসরণ করবে, এ ব্যাপারে এদিক ওদিক করতে পারবে না। আর দয়াময়ের সামনে সমস্ত শব্দ স্তব্ধ হয়ে জাবে;কাজেই মৃদু ধ্বনি [১] ছাড়া আপনি কিছুই শুনবেন না।
[১] মূলে ‘হামস’ শব্দ ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে। এ শব্দটি পায়ের আওয়াজ, চুপিচুপি কথা বলার আওয়াজ, আরো এ ধরনের হালকা আওয়াজের জন্য বলা হয়। এর অর্থ এ দাঁড়ায় যে, সেখানে চলাচলকারীদের পায়ের আওয়াজ, হাল্কা শব্দ ছাড়া কোন আওয়াজ শোনা যাবে না। [ইবন কাসীর]
