আরবি
وَمَا كَانَ قَوْلَهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسْرَافَنَا فِىٓ أَمْرِنَا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
English Translations
And their words were not but that they said, "Our Lord, forgive us our sins and the excess [committed] in our affairs and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people."
And they said nothing but: "Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and our transgressions (in keeping our duties to You), establish our feet firmly, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk."
They had nothing else to say except that they said: “Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our excesses in our conduct, make firm our feet and help us against the disbelieving people.”
And all they said was this: 'Our Lord! Forgive us our sins, and our excesses, and set our feet firm, and succour us against those who deny the Truth.'
Their cry was only that they said: Our Lord! forgive us for our sins and wasted efforts, make our foothold sure, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk.
All that they said was: "Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and anything We may have done that transgressed our duty: Establish our feet firmly, and help us against those that resist Faith."
বাংলা অনুবাদ
তাদের মুখ হতে কেবল এ কথাই বেরিয়েছিল- ‘হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! আমাদের অপরাধগুলো এবং আমাদের কাজ-কর্মে বাড়াবাড়িগুলোকে তুমি ক্ষমা করে দাও, আমাদেরকে দৃঢ়পদ রেখ এবং কাফিরদলের উপর আমাদেরকে সাহায্য কর।’
আর তাদের কথা শুধু এই ছিল যে, তারা বলল, ‘হে আমাদের রব, আমাদের পাপ ও আমাদের কর্মে আমাদের সীমালঙঘন ক্ষমা করুন এবং অবিচল রাখুন আমাদের পাসমূহকে, আর কাফির কওমের উপর আমাদেরকে সাহায্য করুন’।
আর এতদ্ব্যতীত তাদের কথা ছিলনা যে, তারা বলতঃ হে আমাদের রাব্ব! আমাদের অপরাধ ও আমাদের কাজের বাড়াবাড়ি হেতু কৃত অন্যায়সমূহ ক্ষমা করুন, আমাদেরকে দৃঢ় রাখুন এবং অবিশ্বাসীদের বিরুদ্ধে আমাদেরকে সাহায্য করুন।
এ কথা ছাড়া তাদের আর কোনো কথা ছিল না, ‘হে আমাদের রব! আমাদের পাপ এবং আমাদের কাজের সীমালংঘন আপনি ক্ষমা করুন, আমাদের পা সুদৃঢ় রাখুন এবং কাফের সম্প্রদায়ের বিরুদ্ধে আমাদেরকে সাহায্য করুন।’
তাদের মুখ হতে কেবল এ কথাই বেরিয়েছিল- হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! আমাদের জন্য আমাদের অপরাধ ও আমাদের বাড়াবাড়ি ক্ষমা কর ও আমাদের চরণসমূহ সুদৃঢ় কর এবং অবিশ্বাসীদের ওপর আমাদেরকে সাহায্য কর।
১৪৭. যখন বিপদ নেমে আসলো তখন এ ধৈর্যশীলদের একটাই কথা ছিলো তারা বললো: হে আমাদের প্রভু! আপনি আমাদের গুনাহ ও সীমালঙ্ঘনের অপরাধগুলো ক্ষমা করে দিন। আর শত্রুর সাক্ষাতের সময় আমাদেরকে দৃঢ়পদ করুন। উপরন্তু আপনি আমাদেরকে কাফির সম্প্রদায়ের উপর বিজয় দিন।
তাফসীর
3:144
এ কথা ছাড়া তাদের আর কোন কথা ছিল না, ‘হে আমাদের রব! আমাদের পাপ এবং আমাদের কাজের সীমালংঘন আপনি ক্ষমা করুন, আমাদের পা সুদৃঢ় রাখুন এবং কাফের সম্প্রদায়ের বিরুদ্ধে আমাদেরকে সাহায্য করুন।’
