আরবি
يَـٰٓأَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ لِمَ تَكْفُرُونَ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَنتُمْ تَشْهَدُونَ
English Translations
O People of the Scripture, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allāh while you witness [to their truth]?
O people of the Scripture! (Jews and Christians): "Why do you disbelieve in the Ayat of Allah, [the Verses about Prophet Muhammad SAW present in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] while you (yourselves) bear witness (to their truth)."
O people of the Book, why do you disbelieve in the verses of Allah (revealed in the former Scriptures to foretell about the advent of the Holy Prophet ?) while you are yourselves witnesses (to those verses)?
O People of the Book! Why do you reject the signs of Allah even though you yourselves witness them?
O People of the Scripture! Why disbelieve ye in the revelations of Allah, when ye (yourselves) bear witness (to their truth)?
Ye People of the Book! Why reject ye the Signs of Allah, of which ye are (Yourselves) witnesses?
বাংলা অনুবাদ
হে আহলে কিতাব! কেন তোমরা আল্লাহর আয়াতগুলোকে অস্বীকার করছ, অথচ তোমরা নিজেরাই তার সাক্ষী?
হে কিতাবীরা, তোমরা কেন আল্লাহর নিদর্শনসমূহের সাথে কুফরী করছ, অথচ তোমরাই তার সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছ?
হে আহলে কিতাব! তোমরা কেন আল্লাহর নিদর্শনসমূহের প্রতি অবিশ্বাস করছো? অথচ তোমরাই ওর সাক্ষী।
হে কিতাবীরা! তোমরা কেন আল্লাহ্র আয়াতসমূহের সাথে কুফরী কর, যখন তোমরাই সাক্ষ্য বহন কর?
হে আহলে কিতাবরা! তোমরা কেন আল্লাহকে অস্বীকার করছ অথচ তোমরাই এর সাক্ষী।
৭০. হে আহলে কিতাব ইহুদি ও খ্রিস্টানরা! তোমরা কেন আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহের সাথে কুফরি করছো? যা তোমাদের উপর নাযিল করা হয়েছে। যার মধ্যে মুহাম্মাদ (সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম) এর নবুওয়াতের প্রমাণও রয়েছে। অথচ তোমরা এ কথার সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছো যে, সত্য তাই যা তোমাদের কিতাবগুলো প্রমাণ করে।
তাফসীর
3:69
হে কিতাবীরা! তোমরা কেন আল্লাহ্র আয়াতসমূহের সাথে কুফরী কর, যখন তোমরাই সাক্ষ্য বহন কর [১]?
[১] কাতাদা বলেন, এর অর্থ, হে কিতাবী সম্প্রদায়! কিভাবে তোমরা আল্লাহ্র আয়াতসমূহের সাথে কুফরী করতে পার, অথচ তোমরা সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছ যে, আল্লাহ্র নবী মুহাম্মাদ সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লামের গুণাগুণ তোমাদের কিতাবে রয়েছে। তারপর তোমরা তার সাথে কুফরী কর, তা অগ্রাহ্য কর এবং তার উপর ঈমান আনয়ন কর না। তোমরা তোমাদের নিকট রক্ষিত তাওরাত ও ইঞ্জীলে তাকে উম্মী নবী হিসেবে দেখতে পাও, যিনি আল্লাহ্র উপর এবং তার কালেমার উপর ঈমান রাখেন। [তাবারী]
