আন-নিসা: 62

So how [will it be] when disaster strikes them because of what their hands have put forth and then they come to you swearing by Allāh, "We intended nothing but good conduct and accommodation."

How then, when a catastrophe befalls them because of what their hands have sent forth, they come to you swearing by Allah, "We meant no more than goodwill and conciliation!"

But, how (apologetic) they are when they suffer a calamity because of the acts of their own hands, and they come to you swearing by Allah, “We meant nothing but to promote good and bring about harmony.”

But what happens when some misfortune visits them because of their own misdeeds? Then, they come to you swearing by Allah, saying: 'We wanted nothing but to do good and to bring about conciliation (between the two parties)'.

How would it be if a misfortune smote them because of that which their own hands have sent before (them)? Then would they come unto thee, swearing by Allah that they were seeking naught but harmony and kindness.

How then, when they are seized by misfortune, because of the deeds which they hands have sent forth? Then their come to thee, swearing by Allah: "We meant no more than good-will and conciliation!"

যখন তাদের কৃতকার্যের জন্য তাদের উপর বিপদ আপতিত হবে, তখন কী অবস্থা হবে? তখন তারা আল্লাহর নামে শপথ করতে করতে তোমার কাছে এসে বলবে, ‘আমরা সদ্ভাব ও সম্প্রীতি ছাড়া অন্য কিছু চাইনি।’

সুতরাং তখন কেমন হবে, যখন তাদের উপর কোন মুসীবত আসবে, সেই কারণে যা তাদের হাত পূর্বেই প্রেরণ করেছে? তারপর তারা আল্লাহর নামে শপথ করা অবস্থায় তোমার কাছে আসবে যে, আমরা কল্যাণ ও সম্প্রীতি ভিন্ন অন্য কিছু চাইনি।

অনন্তর তখন কিরূপ হবে, যখন তাদের হস্তসমূহ যা পূর্বে প্রেরণ করেছে, তজ্জন্য তাদের উপর বিপদ উপনীত হয়? তখন তারা আল্লাহর শপথ করতে করতে তোমার কাছে এসে বলবে - কল্যাণ ও সম্প্রীতি ব্যতীত আমরা কিছুই কামনা করিনি।

অতঃপর কী অবস্থঅ হবে, যখন তাদের কৃতকর্মের জন্য তাদের কোন মুসীবত হবে? তারপর তারা আল্লাহর নামে শপথ করে আপনার কাছে এসে বলবে, ‘আমরা কল্যাণ এবং সম্প্রীতি ছাড়া অন্য কিছুই চাইনি।’

তাদের কৃতকর্মের কারণে যখন আরও কোন বিপদগ্রস্ত হবে তখন তাদের কী অবস্থা হবে? অতঃপর তারা আল্লাহর নামে শপথ করে তোমার নিকট এসে বলে, ‘আমরা কল্যাণ এবং সম্প্রীতি ব্যতীত অন্য কিছুই চাইনি।’

৬২. মুনাফিকদের অবস্থা কী হবে যখন পাপসমূহে লিপ্ত হওয়ার দরুন তাদের উপর বিপদসমূহ নেমে আসবে অতঃপর হে রাসূল! তারা আপনার নিকট এসে ওজর পেশ করে আল্লাহর উপর এ কসম খায় যে, আমরা আপনি ছাড়া অন্যের নিকট বিচার-ফায়সালা চাওয়ার মাধ্যমে কেবল দ্বনদ্বকারী দু’ পক্ষের মাঝে সমঝোতা ও দয়া ফিরিয়ে আনতে চাচ্ছিলাম?! অথচ তারা এ ব্যাপারে মিথ্যুক। কারণ, দয়া শুধু আল্লাহর বান্দাদের উপর তাঁর শরীয়ত বাস্তবায়নের মধ্যেই নিহিত।
