আল-আরাফ: 161

And [mention, O Muḥammad], when it was said to them, "Dwell in this city [i.e., Jerusalem] and eat from it wherever you will and say, 'Relieve us of our burdens [i.e., sins],' and enter the gate bowing humbly; We will [then] forgive you your sins. We will increase the doers of good [in goodness and reward]."

And (remember) when it was said to them: "Dwell in this town (Jerusalem) and eat therefrom wherever you wish, and say, '(O Allah) forgive our sins'; and enter the gate prostrate (bowing with humility). We shall forgive you your wrong-doings. We shall increase (the reward) for the good-doers."

(Recall) when it was said to them, “Live in this town and eat therefrom anywhere you like, and say, HiTTah (we seek forgiveness) and enter the gate prostrating yourselves, so that We forgive your errors. We shall give much more to those who are good in their deeds.”

And recall when it was said to them: 'Dwell in this town and eat plentifully of whatever you please, and say: "Repentance", and enter the gate prostrate. We shall forgive you your sins and shall bestow further favours on those who do good.'

And when it was said unto them: Dwell in this township and eat therefrom whence ye will, and say "Repentance," and enter the gate prostrate; We shall forgive you your sins; We shall increase (reward) for the right-doers.

And remember it was said to them: "Dwell in this town and eat therein as ye wish, but say the word of humility and enter the gate in a posture of humility: We shall forgive you your faults; We shall increase (the portion of) those who do good."

স্মরণ কর, তাদেরকে যখন বলা হয়েছিল- ‘‘এই জনপদে বাস কর, যেখানে ইচ্ছে আহার কর আর বল ‘(আমাদেরকে) ক্ষমা কর’, অবনত মস্তকে দ্বারে প্রবেশ কর, (তাহলে) তোমাদের ত্রুটিগুলো ক্ষমা করে দেব, আর নেককার লোকদেরকে অতিরিক্ত আরো দেব।’’

আর স্মরণ কর, যখন তাদেরকে বলা হল, ‘তোমরা এ জনপদে* বসবাস কর এবং যেখানে চাও সেখান থেকে আহার কর এবং বল ‘হিত্তাহ’** । আর অবনত মস্তকে দরজায় প্রবেশ কর। আমি তোমাদের অপরাধগুলো ক্ষমা করে দেব। অবশ্যই আমি সৎকর্মশীলদেরকে বাড়িয়ে দেব।’ * বাইতুল মুকাদ্দাস অঞ্চল।

যখন আমি তাদেরকে বলেছিলামঃ এই (বাইতুল মুকাদ্দাস ও তৎসংশ্লিষ্ট) জনপদে বসবাস কর এবং যা ইচ্ছা আহার কর, আর তোমরা বলঃ (হে রাব্ব!) ক্ষমা চাই, আর দ্বারদেশ দিয়ে নত শিরে প্রবেশ কর; আমি তোমাদের অপরাধ ক্ষমা করব এবং সৎ কর্মশীল লোকদের জন্য আমার দান বৃদ্ধি করব।

আর স্মরণ করুন, যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয়েছিল, ‘তোমরা এ জনপদে বাস কর ও যেখানে খুশি খাও এবং বল, ‘ক্ষমা চাই’। আর নতশিরে দরজা দিয়ে প্রবেশ কর; আমরা তোমাদের অপরাধসমূহ ক্ষমা করব। অবশ্যই আমরা মুহসিনদেরকে বাড়িয়ে দেব।’

স্মরণ কর, যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয়েছিল, ‘তোমরা এ জনপদে বাস কর ও যেথা ইচ্ছা আহার কর এবং বল:‎ ‘আমরা ক্ষমা চাই’ এবং নতশিরে দ্বারে প্রবেশ কর, তাহলে আমি তোমাদের অপরাধ ক্ষমা করব। আমি সৎ কর্মপরায়ণদেরকে আরও অধিক দান করব।’

১৬১. হে রাসূল! আপনি স্মরণ করুন সে সময়ের কথা যখন আল্লাহ তা‘আলা বনী ইসরাঈলকে বললেন: তোমরা বাইতুল-মাক্বদিসে প্রবেশ করো এবং সে এলাকার যে কোন জায়গা থেকে যে কোন সময় ফল-ফলাদি ভক্ষণ করো আর বলো: “হিত্তাতুন” অর্থাৎ হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক! আপনি আমাদের গুনাহগুলো ক্ষমা করুন। সেই সাথে তোমরা গেট দিয়ে ঢুকার সময় নিজেদের প্রতিপালকের প্রতি বিনয়ী হয়ে রুকু’ অবস্থায় প্রবেশ করো। যদি তোমরা এমন করো তাহলে আমি তোমাদের গুনাহগুলো মাফ করে দেবো এবং সৎকর্মশীলদেরকে অচিরেই দুনিয়া ও আখিরাতের কল্যাণ বাড়িয়ে দেবো।
